Mayweather is not going up to MW, and he is no going to fight Cotto again. With that being said, is there any other fighter from MW on down that would get criticized for fighting Cotto at MW?

 

No other fighter trying to play themselves off as best ever or whatnot. If Floyd wanted any chance of making a real claim, he at the very least has to match Leonard who went up in weight to fight Hagler who was clearly the best 160lber at the time.

The last time I checked, Leonard was a 5 division champ, and his LHW title was won at the SMW limit. How many divisions has Mayweather won a title in again?

 

I have 0 interest in a Cotto fight. Win or lose, fighting GGG at 160 would do more for me in terms of Floyd's place in history than any other fight he could make.

Floyd could weight 150 and fight cotto for th 160 strap, beat him and retire, great way to retire.
