Cottos Adviser: "A Fight with Floyd Will Be A Megafight"

It's easy for people to view this fight in hind sight, when people review this fight they tend to say to themselves "hey this fight I not as close I recall" and that may be true but, what they're not realizing is why they recall it so close in the first place. It's because it's only one of maybe two fights in Mayweather's entire career that his opponent felt live and game for basically the entire duration of the fight. Now that we now how the fight ended it's lost much of that magic on the edge of your seat feeling but, a rematch would feel the same if not more exciting as the original.

Cotto has the skill to impose his size and make it a factor, and Freddie would have him showing the will to do it much earlier, it could change the entire dynamics of the fight where think we may see Floyd trying to catch up late...an interesting thought indeed because it means Floyd would have to go more offensive than ever before..

I believe this fight will happen too... but the only (major) obstacle is the "beef" between Roc Nation Sports and Haymon. It could prove to be insurmountable, but time will tell.

Mayweather is going to weigh his options. He's smart, so he's considering Cotto for all the reasons Rico mentioned. But he's also thinking over a Pac rematch and a Khan fight as well. I'm staying tuned.

 

Moving up to fight Cotto for the middle weight title, would be great. I hope he does this in Sept.

 

Cotto's performance versus Floyd is looking better and better as time passes. It would be a good fight for sure...
