TBF a few years ago floyd said his older self would beat his younger self so it's a fair question

That's kind of a flawed way of thinking since he rematched Castillo IMMEDIATELY.

He also RAN like a b!tch in the rematch. Money doesn't care about the fans, boxing, or legacy. Money cares about his bling, cars, and hookers...

OK. But if I think of Mayweather with his aggregate experience these days, in his best physical shape, then, even with a rotator cuff injury, I don't see him having a disputed decision against Castillo. That fight taught him something - it really did. I do believe he is smarter today — in terms of knowing the most possible solutions — but he's less willing to put it all together, especially in a weight class that is more unnatural for him with all things considered.

So you don't consider guys like Chop Chop or Judah at the time he fought them to be dangerous opponents?

No one thought he'd fight Mosley after he beat up on Margarito? I'm pretty sure no one thought he'd ever step in the ring with Alvarez as well?

I don't know, even in his advanced age if he's in a tough fight, say like he was with Madiana, he offered a rematch. A guy in his late 30's who's a running b!tch as you so eloquently put it probably wouldn't go that route after a tough initial match.

I think its a fair question he did have trouble against chavez and was beaten as 'pbf in most peoples view with Castillo', would he not have a beaten better fighters this last few years aswell?

I'm pretty sure to qualify for legendary you need a legendary opponent.

Corrales was a good champion, not a legendary one.

Corley was a feather fisted gate keeper.
Judah had just gotten humiliated by a technician, master boxer, student of the sweetscience, the GREAT Baldomir.

Both Judah and Baldomir were B level fighters.

Mosley's prime was in 2000. When did he fight Mosley? How many losses did Mosley have? Cotto, Forrest, Winky, DLH had already beat Mosley when Mayweather finally decided to find the courage to fight him.

    Alvarez is not even HOF.

When Floyd rematches someone he fights like a b!tch the 2nd time around.
