I think we need to put this fight behind us now. These guys may fight each other again but it will only be for one more cash-out.

Firstly, I'll admit I wanted Manny to win. I was disappointed with his gameplan and his lack of aggression cost him big time. But I had Floyd winning 116-112. No arguments over who was the better man.

However, rewatch the referee instructions just before the first bell. Floyd's face was overcome with nerves, he couldn't stand still and his eyes were darting everywhere. He was breathing heavily. Manny makes/made him nervous.

Obviously at the end of the day this doesn't really matter. But as confident as Floys likes to portray himself, I think there was some doubt in there.

Then again manny has never looked that nervous during a fight either. Both looked petrified of what might come back at them.

 

I vowed after the Guerrero fight never to buy another Floyd fight and I have stuck to it and never looked back. And what have I missed? Nothing. Not one good punch, not one memorable moment, nothing. A lot of leaning back while punching, running and holding. No thanks

Anyone who watches the fight could see how scared floyd was he always initiated the hold

I should note I'm mainly talking pre-fight mainly during ref's instructions

Manny's camp were desperate before the fight. Maybe Floyd was more nervous than normal but Manny and his camp were brazenly relaxed and "trivial". They had an escapist attitude and put on an impressive bravado ladened front.

 

Even when floyd was standing still manny wasn't throwing anything. Manny was scared of floyd and floyd was scared of manny, simple as that.
