Thus far, Pacquiao has not handled himself cordially in defeat. But the injury is legit. This may be an excuse, but it's a valid excuse, and it does cast a new light on the fight, in the same way that DLH's drainage cast new light on the Pacquiao-DLH fight.

Fat Dan spoke to the Doctor, who's a well respected and famous sports surgeon and possibly the only objective third party on this issue. The doctor said the injury is severe. It's not a trivial wear and tear thing that's being overblown. It's the kind of thing that couldn't not have hampered his abilities in the fight.

He could have stated he had an injury and postponed the fight, im sure he wouldn't get sued by somebody then right!?!?

Agree. Manny was never shut down in the fight. He started out slow from the getgo.

Of course, he did the same vs Bradley the first time, but at least in that fight he turned it up in the last minute of each round so it was clear he was holding back.

I've watched the fight again also, I cannot fathom how it could possibly be as bad as they say...

he's had this injury since 2008. His sparring partner said there was no indication that the arm was hurt in camp. There was absolutely no signs that the shoulder was hurt. When Lacy hurt his arm, you can see him pointing at it and saying his shoulder was hurt immediately after the fight. It was obvious Vitali's shoulder was hurt. When Mayweather hurt his shoulder before Castillo, he mentioned it in between rounds and had Rafeal massage his shoulder.

Manny didn't mention it once or act like it was hurt. Yes I'm sure it was injured, but it had no affect on the fight. Ward and Cotto fought with bad shoulders for years before getting surgery on them and they won plenty of fights. Same with Manny. They're just not bringing this up 7 years later because they're looking for an excuse

BS, the word is significant NOT severe. Huge different in meaning. The doctor isn't going to perjure himself when he's asked to testify.

This could have been operated on years ago, Pac has had an issue with it since 2008. Which means they've been using Xylocaine for that long too (I'm sure packroaches know what that is making one-sided accusations at Floyd). I think they chose to do the surgery as an alibi for the schooling.

He missed more because he didn't have to be as cautious with his punches as he does against more skilled opponents. He hasn't had such a garbage opponent since he became champion. Pac knows he's garbage, and he knows his fans will deny it, and help him to more pay days

I'll also note that I have tore my left rotator cuff before and had to rest it for months and rehab it back to functional health. When the shoulder is at it's worse, you lose a big range in motion with the arm. For me to put my hands up in the air, I'd have to make sure it's at the right angle, my hand is turned the right way and I'd have to do it very slowly.

Manny had no problem doing it. If I wanted to wave my hand, I wouldn't even bother doing it with my bad arm.

Also, putting my arms up like this would screw my rotator cuff up BAD! My arms are healthy now, but if I even sat in this position for more than a minute, I'd feel soreness in my shoulder

Almost all the experts on ESPN (except joke Bayless), and on Youtube videos say the same. Regardless, most think a rematch will be another schooling.

Well I remember when he took of like 2 weeks from training. I remember specifically because I was freaking out about it...I didn't believe the "keep him from peaking" excuse, but also didn't think injury.
