serves him right i say and im a UK fan . fans want fights and he has no excuse for being inactive for this long other than waiting for a mega money showdown with whoever . seems only fair other fighters get given a chance now and hopefully these organizations are now clamping down on these fighters sitting around doing nothing . in my opinion any champion inactive for more than 6 months gets stripped , lets get some ****ing fights again !! well done WBA i hope the rest will follow suit .
I think it's right that he's stripped as a Froch fan as well, but let's face it the WBA aren't taking any moral high ground here, they just want some sanctioning fees.
I agree with stripping Froch, but seriously... Ward is keeping his belt while he hasn't fought for 18 months already and his next fight is a 172 catch weight, non title fight against a guy coming off 2 losses. Talk about favoritism.

IMO it is **** If Froch gets stripped of the belt Ward should be stripped as well and Felix Sturm has done enough s**t with the WBA belt @160 in the past so lets hope Chudinov wins
Wasn't he stripped weeks ago after Ward and Froch couldn't agree terms? I'm sure I saw articles and thread about this weeks ago. Froch just needs to retire, he clearly doesn't have the desire anymore that's why he struggled so much in the first Groves fight, he took him lightly and almost paid the price. If he doesn't have the desire to give it his all anymore then retirement is the best option.
