its an embarrassing record to have....how many of those 5.5 million will shell out another 100 for that terrible card, horrible fight between 2 guys that should have fought 4 years ago.....
one of the reasons why manny hurt his shoulder is because of age....body is breaking down....thats how a 35 or 36 year old pernell whitaker went out...injured

****ing mindblowing. I was expecting it to break the record, not to more than double it.

It may not need casuals to survive, but it certainly needs them to thrive.

That is insane. It's unfortunate that all the non boxing fans hated it though and now hate boxing because of it. That could be a good thing though. The less people that buy PPV = the less fights they put on PPV. I am sick of PPV's

Floyd's hugging/running and always waiting for Pac to initiate ruined the fight for majority of fans.

What about the fact that Pac was too slow and too poor to stop Floyd from doing that?

You can say that a million times until you turn blue in the face, but only the most deranged and deluded of the Pac fanboys (like yourself) believe such nonsense. Floyd won comfortably.

Whether Pac was injured or not has no bearing on any of this. Pac's old. His body is wearing down. And injuries are a part of all professional sports, especially boxing.

Ok, so this made 5.6... WITHOUT promotion. If they promoted the hell out of the rematch, Floyd trash talking, playing up the injury narrative, and promoted the heck out of it... how well will it do? I bet they could get 3 million.

GTFO. The fight was anything but a "classic". All I keep hearing from those casuals stupid enough to purchase the PPV is what a boring fight it was.

Once you grow up you learn that stating something doesnt make it right , its something you learn once you pass 13~ , please come back to the forum after this age and have watched the fight again , and try and post your scorecard of the fight.
I as you wanted Pac to win , and when he lost i said "**** , i wanted him to win" , but he DID LOSE THE FIGHT , and on top of it he made execuses (and if they arent its much worse becuase ppl actually paid money to see a riged fight and more ppl lost money in gambling becuase of his **** behavior).
or you are just trolling and i missed it......

the expectation was high since it's a fight between two atg's and top p4p boxers so it made good numbers. thing is the disappointment made a great loss for the sport. when boxing fans get bored, what more for casuals? all prize fighters have the responsibility to entertain and show case what the sport is all about and not just aim for the money or there will be no more next time.
