fury vs klitscho at wembley sept/oct?

If they fight outdoors September could well be viable.

Wlad-Chisora was a poor fight. People had seen them two fight on Channel 5 already, for free. That's a rock bottom fight.

Wladimir Klitschko's credentials are very strong.
He's been around ages. He's likeable.
He'd be the first proper foreign heavyweight champion to defend against a British challenger in London since Witherspoon in 1986 and before that Muhammad Ali in 1966.
The hype will evoke all that.

The one in manc was barely over 5k never mind 15k, the one at the end of last year sold to bjs/eubank and a BN subscriber 2-4-1 deal, don't think fury is as big a ticket seller as he is a name (like Khan) so would make far more sense to do it in Germany where it'd sell

Its all about the opponents. Fury hasnt had any real dangerous fighters and thats not his fault as he tried twice to get Haye in the ring.

Just like Calzaghe and even Mayweather, they needed Lacy and Gatti to become mainstream. Gatti was Mayweathers first pay per view and thats because it was Gatti.

The Fury Chisora fights never sold well because everyone knows that Fury is so far above Chisora its not even going to be competative, especially the rematch.

Klitschko v Fury will sell. It will be mostly people wanting to see afury knocked out but thats not going to happen. Fury will make his name and mark here and take Klitschkos titles

This will be in Germany I'd imagine as it'll go to purse bids- I just don't see how K2 and Frank will come to an arrangement.

As for the Bruno outdoor fights, Frank was fighting regularly on terrestrial TV back in those days and had a massive following due to his likeable personality. Fury is a funny guy but not a known ticket seller to fill Wembley. If the fight somehow happens here Upton Park seems likeliest.

 

is klitscho getting big numbers buying tickets in Germany? his pulev fight was well attended due to loads of Bulgarians making the journey, other than haye I don't think he's fought in a stadium in Germany.

think this could do around 40k with a decent undercard, (ie bjs vs eubank) that's going to look very empty in Wembley though, Upton park or spurs or somewhere like that would be about right imo.
