Floyd: "The rematch is off. I changed my mind."

His Gray interview was CLEARLY an attempt to drum up some anger in the public to create demand for a rematch.

Makes business sense. Money could potentially make around $40-50 million from a Khan fight, and then around $100-150 million from a Pac rematch. Money could retire with total career earnings almost approaching $1 billion, making him the richest sportsman alive.

Maidana? Ok, if you call that decent. But it's Maidana...shut out by Alexander, dropped 3x by Ortiz, worked over by Morales and Kotelnik, hurt by JSK and Josesito, and ultimately the posessor of exactly ONE semi-good win: Broner.
Collazo? Ok, but Collazo is old and has exactly ZERO quality wins alongside losses to Berto and Freddy Hernandez.
Alexander? Who was beaten by Bradley, Matthysse, and Porter? Whose best wins are Maidana and Kotelnik?

You guys can't be serious if you think Khan has a chance in hell. Newsflash: There are levels to this sh!t. Khan has proven time and time again that he struggles at B-level.

The top 7 at welterweight are clearly above Khan's level:
-Floyd dominates him every which way and drops him more times than Corrales.
-Brook knocks him out with a jab.
-Manny treats him like a weaker version of Algieri.
-Bradley bombs him out.
-JMM replicates KTFO6, but better.
-Thurman one-times him.
-Porter steamrolls him.
Numbers 8 and 9 seem right about exactly at Khan's level.
-Diego Chaves has more than a good chance of stopping Khan.
-Guerrero would probably lose, but he might grind Khan to death like Peterson did.
-I have Khan replacing Alexander at Number 10.
Numbers 11-19 are solid opponents for Khan's level
-Alexander already got outboxed.
-Maidana probably stops him in a rematch.
-Berto would probably get outworked, but the KO could happen.
-Josesito should get outboxed, but a counterpunch KO is a real possibility.
-Collazo already got outboxed.
-Ortiz would probably quit in some absurd way, but the KO could happen.
-JSK would get outboxed.
-Zaveck would get outboxed.
-Bundu would get outboxed.

And then down at 140...

The top 4 are clearly out of reach:
-Garcia already knocked him out hilariously and would do it again.
-Matthysse would kill him.
-Peterson would outbox him again.
-Crawford would treat him like a less-skillful version of Gamboa.
Numbers 5-8 are 50-50 fights (aside from Ruslan):
-Algieri MIGHT beat him. He shouldn't, but stranger things have happened.
-Provodnikov would kill him.
-Rios would probably catch him at some point.
-Broner would be a good fight. Khan might go all Paulie on him, but I sense Khan's defense and footwork aren't at Paulie's level and Broner would catch him with a counter.
Numbers 9-15 seem like comfortable wins:
-Herrera would get outspeeded.
-Benavidez would get outspeeded.
-Vargas would get outspeeded.
-Postol would get outspeeded.
-Figueroa might actually have a chance with that weird UFC cage-grinding style.
-Molina might actually catch him with something.
-Alvarado gets worked over and will still be a meth addict.

Khan is at best #8-#10 at welterweight, and he would have to go to war to truly keep that ranking. Chaves, Guerrero, and Maidana are all winnable fights for him, but far from the guaranteed Haymon Specials he's been handed lately. There's no way he goes higher until Floyd, Manny, and JMM retire. He'll never truly crack the top 5.

If he could make 140, he'd probably float around between #5-#8. Again, it would be a war for him. Broner, Rios, and Algieri are winnable, but Khan is not one to put together a sting of wins in "winnable" fights. He always loses one or two unexpected ones. And Provodnikov would actually kill him. Khan could only crack the top 5 if Garcia, Matthysse, and Peterson all move up. (And that would keep him way down the list at 147).

Khan is a B-Level fighter. He struggles to maintain a ranking in the lower-top-10, and his ceiling is outside the top 5. He will never be one of the 4 best in any division, meaning he will never have a legitimate title reign without ducking challenges. He exists solely for the purpose of giving us something to laugh at.

I would watch a rematch, but honestly why should there be one? Doesn't Cotto deserve one more than Poochiao and I don't even want to see that fight again

Heres the chance for Froid Mayweather to show up he has some cojones .
Fight Amir Khan in Sept but fight him in ENGLAND at Wembley stadium.
No Vegas corruption Have a good clean EVEN fight with the best man getting the win. C'mon Froid I'm calling you out prove me wrong when I call you a coward.

King Khan may not be known for having one punch ko but my friend we have a saying. The deadliest bite cones from the smallest creature it is in reference to the mosquito and the deadly malaria. The fact that King Khan is not a noted ko puncher worjs in his favour against the little bald lazy conman Mayweather. Volume punching and outworking Mayweather is the key and no one does that better than King Khan. Fact.

Khan's accuracy in his last fight against Alexander (43%) was higher than Mayweather's accuracy in his last fight against Pacquiao (34%). It's unlikely Floyd out-points Khan, who has faster hand speed, quicker jabs, taller height and higher work rate, along with comparably high punch accuracy and good foot-work from the back-foot.

That's the kind of triangle theory fallacy I'd expect from casual fans. Khan has only ever struggled against power punchers, which Floyd most certainly is not. There's fat chance of Floyd pulling off a KO against Khan, so it would come down to a pure boxing match between two technical boxers. Khan has never been outboxed before, and neither has Floyd. That's what makes it a very competitive fight. Styles make fights.
