I shouldn't need to, if you claim you're capable at scoring fights you should understand that all boxing judges are asked to score each round on its own merits, and that there are four factors in which they should award the round, with additional factors for damage/dominance/knockdowns.

But just for you, I wrote a post elaborating on all four criteria for scoring a boxing fight.

I meant how important it is in particular according to you. It is a subjective criterion after all. You could simply say the fighter who received less punches has the better defense and it would be evaluated under the clean punches criterion.

It's of equal importance to any except clean punching, reality is clean punching is the easiest way to win fights, if you're landing clean constantly on your opponent.

Look at BHop, who for the past ten years made his name winning fights because of his defense. He won much narrower margins in most of his fights than Floyd did against Pacquaio, mostly because he was able to dictate how the fight would playout.

Calzaghe gave the blueprint on how to handle Hopkins style fighters, the same blueprint would've worked on Floyd, as long as you've got enough power to get Floyd's respect and you don't mind taking shots on the chin to get in there.

This is what happens when a country anoints you a god and you have a idiot fan base that thinks you can do no wrong. PAC was sold a bid of goods by his countrymen and his fans into thinking pbf was a fraud who couldn't fight I honestly think he bought all that talk from his fan base about pbf. They did him a dis service because he got a lesson in the sweet science last Saturday. Him saying he was more nervous about oscar and cotto tells you everything you need to know.

Here's the test I use for TBE...based on the career of the fighter who would you want to be? How was the fighter's end game?

Hands Down...Floyd Mayweather...undefeated, hall of famer, success, minimal punishment, and BIG BANK!!!

Who else can match his boxing feats? Has his mental faculties? No punishment? Multi-MILLIONS?!?!

Who's your TBE and how did he handle his career?

So this Floyd thread is #.....?

j/k man, probably Marquez for me. One of the greatest counter-punchers and, even though he didn't face Morales or Barrera in his prime, he's done alot more and is still relevant to this day.
