Why does GGG keep calling out smaller fighters than him??

    GGG keeps on calling out Cotto,Mayweather and Canelo.. But no Ward or Kovalev ??? Why is that?

    GGG is obviously trying to go for a cash grab before he is forced to move up and lose.

    because 100% of those fights are noteworthy, would make him way more money and are relatively low risk. Ward is a vacuum of despair for anybody willing to fight him. Nobody wants to see him, nobody can beat him, and Kovalev is 15 pounds heavier than GGG.

    Ward and Kovalev are high risk almost no reward besides props from fans, a fight with Cotto is absolutely relevant, he is the number 1 MW, Cotto is the champion. Canelo is the generation's next star and Floyd Mayweather is the number 1 attraction int he sport as well as this generation's star.

    GGG calls out smaller fighters like Chavez and Froch.

    Sit down OP.

    If you had half a brain, you'd know that all the guys he has called out are PPV fighters (including the two I mentioned).

    That's true. But there's no huge demand to see GGG land any of those fights. And furthermore, he's not likely to actually land a fight like that. Realistically, if he wants to make a name for himself, he either has to stick at middle to prove his dominance, which will be long and dragged out, or he can roll the dice and try his luck at 168.

    But I can see why he would be reluctant to face a true elite talent like Ward.

    Golovkin's not interested in any non-PPV fights at 168.

    Only way he's interested in Ward is if Roc Nation put a big offer on the table, which of course, they haven't done.

    Well he's not getting the floyd fight and there's more chance Cotto and Canelo will fight so where does that leave GGG?

    But who has put out a "big offer" for GGG?

    Cotto has no need to fight him. Nor does Floyd and Canelo. And I'd be surprised if any of those little guys make an offer to GGG. And why should they?

    Usually you are pretty sensible, but there is plenty of demand for those fights. Much more so than there was for Canelo-Kirkland or Cotto-Geale to say the least.

    I do think that GGG has no business rendering Floyd unable to fully enjoy his fortune, but Cotto calls himself the MW Champ :conf

    If Ward gets his weight and business aspects under control, the fight will get made... and I will enjoy seeing everyone eat crow :yep

    Exactly where he is now. He should continue being active and knocking guys out at 160, and wait in line until the dust settles. OR, move up to 168.

    Cotto should, he's holding onto the MW lineal title and Golovkin is his WBC mandatory.
