Hard to say Makabu seems to be the bigger puncher on paper but the way Mchunu outboxed Eddie Chambers was a masterclass. This is looking to be a good fight, shame it wont get much mainstream coverage as : 1. theyre both African fighters 2. theyre fighting at cruiserweight no way im missing this one
That's how I see it. Makabu could catch him late though. He is a calm, and cool operator in there. The lefty/lefty match up is intriguing too.
Its a setback for the loser, and thus, a bad fight to be made. These guys should have done the rounds and remained active fighting lower top 100s 3-4X yr if they couldnt get a titlist in there with them. Hate to see either one of them lose. Im gonna take McChunu since he seems a bit better defensively, and while Makabu might have the better overall power and chin, I think a good punching CPer who is near impossible to hit flush has the answers for Makabu's swarm style.:think
