Pac said he couldn't fight the way he wanted to because his shoulder was injured. No one asked him was his shoulder injured. Anyway, I have used up my allotted "deal with troll time" today. Pre castillo Mayweather had a pretty nice balance of offense and defense. It was good for his first 6 years in boxing, but what baout the last 13 years?

He has had 19 fights since fighting Jose Luis Castillo in 2002. 6 years after becoming pro he had his toughest fight against the poor man's version of Julio Cesar Chavez, JLC, and decided to pot shot in the rematch, and ever since that fight 13 years ago, Mayweather seems to have taken the route of least resistance and has fought very very amateurish, meaning, doing just enough to get the points, touch and run, touch and hug, touch and run....

He's spent 2/3 of his career in defense mode with very few exceptions against fighters like Gatti who was way past his best.

He is arguably the best fighter in this very weak era, yet he still chooses to fight defensively against C and B- level fighters like Guerrero, Maidana, Baldomir etc...

How do you win fights with minimal offense ? I never understood that and it seems defense is taking precedent over body work ..How many times are body punches scored ? I rarely hear anything as far as how one scores body shots .

Yes this is the sweet science where you don't get hit but your supposed to answer if a fighter doesn't do anything Pts should be taking away ..At the end of,the day fights are supposed to entertain..Look at Rigendeuex a defensive wizard but who the hell wants to see a guy not get hit for 12 rds eventually we want offense !
