That is true in some instances, but not all.

The Daily Mail is much maligned for its poor quality investigative journalism, reactionary opines, badly researched articles and the dumbed down and poorly written articles from regular columnists, who when writing for other papers/magazines/etc don't seem quite as thick as they come across in the mail.
