    He didn't get the lion's share of the purse between the two, that's for certain giving that he (Martinez) was the B-side/defending world lineal champion during negotiating and going into the fight where as Cotto was the A-side and got most of the money out of it. I believe the exact or estimated take for both fighters was Martinez: $1.5-$2 millon dollars and Cotto: $7.5-$8 million dollars, plus each guys cut of the PPV which I believe was 65/35 Cotto!
