A guy like Mayweather should be definitely be on the anti Gatti list. They where complete opposites in terms of their in ring abilities. Just look what happened when they fought. Gatti took so much punishment in the ring. I don't think it's a coincidence that he eventually took his own life. Severe brain trauma can cause a person to be suicidal.

Lampley pushing an agenda on his HBO show? Well my mind is officially blown.

The funniest thing is that in the past he's included guys like Vitali and Zou on the Gatti List. He also declared he'd be dropping Maidana from the list before the first Floyd fight because he'd lose, when the whole point of the list seemed to be that wins and losses didn't matter.

Wow. that's hilarious. It looks like Gatti wouldn't have even been able to make the Gatti list. He also put Mayweather on the list after his fight with Cotto and when he was still with HBO. Not surprisingly, he's continually trashed Mayweather since he left HBO.

I don't think that anybody has said that Lampley isn't frequently an idiot and extremely biased, I just think that in this case he happens to be right, miraculously, as if almost by accident like Teddy Atlas sometimes is.

You know, I think Lampley's Gatti list actually goes back before the time that he got his own show. I seem to remember him doing something like this back in like 2000 or so. It had Gatti, Ward, and Jesse James Leija on it. I forget who else. I know I saw him do one once with Jorge Arce on it. Oddly enough, I don't think I ever saw him mention Israel Vazquez.

However, it is somewhat telling that most of the guys who've made his anti-Gatti list are on HBO's rival networks. With the sole exception of the Provodnikov fight, Tim Bradley is very boring and could have made this list himself.

How can a guy with over 50 KO's and the most savage power in the sport be on the anti-Gatti list?:rofl

Rigo and Lara I understand. Mayweather and Wlad don't belong on there. He needs to add Pacquiao after that abysmal performance in landing 7.5 punches a round against Floyd :rofl:patsch

do you seriously believe this? by the way, floyd is 48-0 and not a guy to be celebrated in a post where you condemn a woman beater.

To me, anti-Gatti means quality, considering Gatti was garbage.

Nothing racist about it but it's very ignorant to say. You have some of the very best boxers in the world on that list and he's bashing them for fighting in a style that he doesn't find appealing. Exciting is subjective skills aren't.:deal.

Yeah I was going to say that, he's using "anti-Gatti" as some sort of pejorative, he's bashing boxers for not being human punching bags. I love Gatti, he's a total warrior but he wasn't a great boxer.

Lamprey is a disgrace. Let's see him fight someone and be a punching bag then.

Didn't he previously have Mayweather (somehow) on the Gatti list last year?

And agree that Hopkins could go in that category.

He got drunk and high a few years back and used his girlfriend as a sparring partner.
