The official Mayweather vs. Pacquiao aftermath trash receptacle

Evander and Sugar Shane told it how it is, even Tyson had it close, the fact is people are swayed by a media push, they class Floyd running and missing higher than Pac's aggression and rocking Floyd simply because we are used to seeing Pac dart in and out throwing 70-90 punches a round so by the view of the media he wasn't himself, failing to see Pacquaio was ensuring he wasn't reckless and he made Mayweather flail all over the place missing and catching his gloves and arms.
Pretty much everyone has confirmed Pacquaio Mayweather was very close after rewatching the fight too.

Mayweather looked horrible and it's even worse since the shoulder injury came to light, no wonder he changed his mind on a rematch, he knew a fully fit Pac probably sparks him out.

 

I cant have SOME respect for the injury excuse.

But people arguing that Pac actually won....That I dont get

Haven't seen it yet myself. I thought it would be a stinker and a predictable UD for Floyd. It's on a list of fights I plan to get to after I watch this other bunch that people say were fun. But I see some people in this thread and elsewhere making a decent case for Pacquiao. Evander Holyfield couldn't be the only person who saw the fight differently. The post in the OP from a boxing journalist sites himself and several other reporters who work for this very website as meticulously rewatching the fight in slow motion to arrive at their position.

I've changed my mind once or twice over the years about boxing outcomes. For instance, the first time I watched Hagler vs Leonard I gave the fight to Hagler because I saw more effective aggression while Leonard was playing pitty pat. When I rewatched the fight I saw Leonard stealing the early rounds and I scored it for Leonard.

For years, I had the Mayweather vs Castillo I fight a two point victry for Castillo, but I recently went back to rescore the first rounds and I didn't have almost any of them the same. So now, I can definitely see how Mayweather won that fight and I'll probably score the later rounds again before I get around to the May/Pac fight.

I also need to rewatch Holyfield vs Lewis I and Whitaker vs Chavez because I didn't see half the punches land that compubox says landed. From what I understand, compubox is just some guy watching the fight on tv pressing buttons as fast as he can. He might be as unqualified as CJ Ross to do what he does. I have no idea, but I'm a bit more skeptical of compubox these days the same as I'm skeptical of the commentary swaying people's perceptions.

One thing I've got to say. I wish people would score more 10/10 rounds. There are usually two or three a fight and they always go to the more popular fighter and skew a close fight to a massive landslide victory.

This is insane. It's like Pacquiao vs Bradley I but in an alternate reality. Instead of trying to justify a robbery, people are trying to create one.

Actually, since Floyd got the official decision, it's up to the doubters to make their points.

 

If you watch some of the slo mo videos of the fight, the official scoring was really bogus
