Ok so for those who don't know, Mayweather-Pacquiao was the weekend before last, you may have heard something about.

The backlash and criticism has been astounding, especially in the wake of the injury fiasco with Pacquiao and the excitement of Alvarez's KO.

While claims of boredom and disappointment are expected of the casual observer, who realistically don't know what to expect as they only tune in once or twice a year, the boxing media and hardcore fans or in fact anyone familiar with the two combatants should really not be disappointed.

I mean is it a shock to see Mayweather box and move? Sure, Pacquiao didn't really perform to his standard but did anyone actually expect a war or even an exciting fight? it was always going to be a Mayweather masterclass or a Pacquiao blowout.

There was never any real expectation of a fight or a war on par with what we saw from Alvarez, yet knowledgable boxing insiders, folks you'd expect to understand the nature of styles and boxing, compared the Alvarez fight to that of Pacquiao-Mayweather, as if that's how the two should have fought or something.

To me, it makes no sense, how did anyone possibly expect either man to engage in such fashion when there was no evidence to support such expectation based on what we knew about each fighter going in.

Sorry the post was so long, but it's been bugging me since the fight ended.

How can you call Froid a better fighter based on that fight buffy?? Froid barely beat an injured Pacquaio who fought 12 rounds in pain yet too Froid to a close decision??? Forget the corrupt 118-110 BS from the NSAC officials
What did you expect Freddie to do? Wave a magic wand & heal Manny's shoulder???? C'mon
That fight proved to me than Manny has the cojones of a fighting champion you didn't see or hear anything like'
"He roughed me up & bullied me not fair"
    Scream!!! " He bit me"
That was the guy you call the better fighter LOL
Add to this buffy Have you ever seen any confirmation that Froid was ever tested by USADA?? I Havent & Floyd Sr says he didn't know either. so was Froid juiced to the gills too??? I wonder

He changed his style right after the first Castillo fight, and he has been cherry picking his way since. That is 13 years of Mayweather antics.

Back to the point at hand, having great offense does not make you a villiage idiot. Having great defense doesn't necessarily make you a genius.

    They're human, it was boring.

Why do people think hardcore boxing fans don't enjoy exciting fights the same as everyone else?

I remember watching it originally and from round 1 thinking there is no way Floyd is going to lose this fight. I was frustrated at how easy it appeared Floyd was shutting him out. Though to be honest I didn't have a great view and I had been drinking all night.

Re-watched it the next day with a clearer head and full concentration and was surprised at how much closer the fight seemed. There is no way this was a boxing clinic from Floyd. Absolutely no way.

because 1. the fight was billed as fight of the century and was more like hype of the century because of pacs injury and mayweathers defense first boring fighting style.

So many out there , besides me, clearly have seen the fight, and honestly feel Pacquio clear won the May 2nd fight. Even HBO and Showtime personnel-writers have gone on record to state Paquio as the winner, see posting: 5/8/15 times 11:06 and 11:07 time postings. Many of these are seasoned boxing sports writers and publishers! Other people attesting differently usually are immature and belligerant when they post or have much of anything to say against the simple truth.

I thought cruises were for old people. At least that's how they're seen in Europe unless otherwise specified.

There's a music festival aboard one in the Caribbean that is supposed to be insane from a friend who DJ'd on it. That one is happening again September.
