    Hopkins was injured on a clear foul vs Dawson and came right back to take his L. I don't really think that's comparable here, though it is funny to see some of the dumber Pacquiao fans who demanded MRIs from Hopkins now claim that the doctor's word is good enough for Manny (especially as his recovery time continues to plummet for mysterious reasons).

    lol It depends on your perspective I guess. I saw Hopkins doing his best Shakespeare on the canvas. He was prescribed an otc pain medication for his "shoulder injury". No surgery required. I don't buy Pac's excuses and I didn't buy Hopkins bad acting either.

    That was actually a lucid, well reasoned, and well written article by Evander. Quite frankly, I am impressed that he writes so well. And, I also happen to agree with his opinion. It isn't Floyd's fault he continues to win this way. But, if people are going to continue to watch boxing (and, make no mistake, the dull nature of Mayweather-Pacquaio will definitely DECREASE the popularity of boxing) the rules need to change so that excitement is encouraged over safety first, spoliling style. There have always been fighters like Floyd throughout history. They were called "cuties", and would occasionally upset even the best fighters on an off night. But, with proper enforcement of mandating action, these upsets were the exception, not the rule. Today, it has become just the opposite. And, with a few more stinker mega-fights like May 2nd, nobody is going to care enough to even watch boxing at all if the changes aren't instituted soon.

    Hopkins only speaking the truth. I'm a pacquiao fan, prefer pacquiao much more to mayweather, although i'm not a backward fool i appreciate mayweathers boxing genius highly, however pac just didn't turn up on the night and truth is truth

    Listen to him on ESPN radio (AKA when he's not on the clock for HBO) and it's pretty clear he doesn't buy the shoulder injury.

    Re-watched it the next day with a clearer head and full concentration and was surprised at how much closer the fight seemed. There is no way this was a boxing clinic from Floyd. Absolutely no way.

    I am not a big fan of Floyd Sr. But, I have to admit, I may agree with the OP on this one. Feel bad since Freddie is disabled. But, his game plan was not sound.
