For the amount of butthurt caused to fanboys Lewis' win over Vitali takes the cake. Only thing that compares is Calzaghe's wins over Hopkins and Jones

Jock McAvoys destruction of world middleweight champion Babe Risko, first round KO and demolition.

also McAvoy, the middleweight's 15 round distant contest with none other than L-HW ATG John Henry Lewis.

it's not only victories that leave an impression on people and history.

Tommy Farr's loss to Joe Louis was as good as any British performance, and so was Bruce Wood****'s KO loss to Tami Mauriello. Wood**** was ahead on the cards, finds himself stunned in a head clash and walks right into a Mauriello hammer punch... he was met with such a reception as Wood**** said you'd thought I won.

these fights were HUGE at the time and scored well for memorable contests in the history books.

McAvoy is always forgotten about, but he was a beast and one of the most destructive and feared middleweights of alltime.

Freddie Steele is getting loads of revived interest these days, but not without or before Jock McAvoy, these two should have fought and a look at their respective records shows some interesting plausibility's.
