You guys seem to forget he managed give Abraham the fight knockdown of his career, and he beat ( and got robbed ) the current #1 in the division ( as Ward is inactive ) Froch. Hope no one is putting money on degale 'cause you'll regret it.
Neither of them have fought spectacular opponents. Dirrell hasn't fought anyone of note since coming back.
depends which Dirrell this is I say if it's close to the one of the Froch / Abraham fight he beats DeGale.

Im looking forward to this fight. I usually have an idea of what i thinks guna happen, wrong plenty but this time i really dont know. At one point i thought Dirrell was atleast the 2nd best Supermiddle in the world after Ward, ive seen a real lack of inner guts at times which is ropey for a fighter with world title ambitions and hes hardly fought much lately so im not sure how he is anymore. Looked good in his last fight thought. At one point i thought DeGale was a fast handed soft punching slapper with average everything else and was guna fall away and be nothing more than European champion. These days he looks very good and i think he deserves and has earnt his world rankings. Looking forward to it
Dirrell is super talented. I hope he goes on some sort of a run and redeems himself from the Dr Shawhigh incident
