And it all comes back to Floyd's 0 and ability to sell fights based merely on people wanting him to lose. In big fights like this, the guy going forward almost always gets the W. But 'boxing' didn't want Floyd to lose, thinking this is good for the sport, having a guy sparring opponents and getting cheap Ws. I've never seen a TV cast so biased from the getgo in that fight either. Even when Pac had FLoyd hurt and unloading on him, he takes a step back, then continues to pressure floyd and instead of them giving credit for what Pac was doing, they say " pac is going to get Ko'd if he doesn't be careful, this isn't a good confidence he has right now" or something to that effect. What a pile of BS. I wish Larry Merchant was there to call it like it is, he would have for sure said "Roy, Floyd hasn't Ko'd someone since 1999 and you think he's going to KO manny?"

A better indicator would be who pro boxers trainers and boxing writers thought won won. Apparently Floyds dad knows absolutely nothing about boxing either considering he was heard saying Floyd was fighting scared and that Pac was going to take the fight from him. Clearly he was having the same observations as many of us people saying the fight was close.

 

Floyd's losses to Castillo (1st fight), Maidana (1st fight) and Pacquiao showed us how vulnerable he would be if he had to fight someone like Sugar Ray Leonard, who had the same power as Pacquiao/Maidana but also had better footwork and handspeed than Floyd and a much better ring IQ than Pacquiao.
