True. I know the "powers that be" don't want anything to change because the way things are now. They can shape and sell us any reality that they want with as little risk as possible. Risk taking in boxing is a thing of the past and will only get worse as time goes along. Boxing is more like WWE nowadays more than it has ever been than it is like any other combat sport. Obviously some fights are still fixed, some have no chance under the circumstances. Fights happen when they are most likely to favor the better financial result instead of happening when they are supposed to happen. I hope this changes!

The scoring is different for EVERY fight! lol Every one! It all depends on who the ref, fighters and judges are..that combination determines everything! Some refs take points, some don't. Some judges score aggressiveness others score defense and elusiveness. They want it this way. Thats what I think, so they can shape the result to what they want. From watching boxing I notice one thing, two judges usually have the exact same score and one judge is way different than the other two. I always wonder why that happens so often? The scoring system should be made exact as possible. The idea about the additional rounds would be awesome! Or if the even of a DRAW then the fighters get the option to fight 3 more rounds or leave it at a draw, that would rule also and you would see who had the most heart. There are sooo many different ideas that could be put in to place if the right minds got together. I hope some changes are made while Im alive to see it. Boxing at times seems like the movie groundhog's day, same **** over and over. We pay 100 dollars for some bull****, nobody cares on to the next fight. I see why the sport is on such a big declince.

I love how the observers who think scoring was unjust is growing. I have said it manu times before - Floyd is a master at deception, a magician. He will create illusions that he's controlling the fight and landing more but when things are carefully ****yzed, you realize he did much less than what he actually did. MANY MANY of the punches he was credited with landing didn't make much contact, if at all. He got credited for landing way too many punches. Secondly, by making Pac miss and look frustrated trying to chase Floyd down, he creates the illusion of being in control; he even acts like he's winning. A fighter looks bad missing so much, you can see the frustration in his face. By the end of a typical Mayweather round, judges will believe Floyd won the round just by noticing the frustration in the opponent's face; opponents look inadequate missing. The problem is that this shouldn't matter, it's about landing punches not making opponents miss. If Floyd makes an opponent miss a lot but opponents still out lands him, opponent should win round; this is not what necessarily happens with Floyd.

Floyd now wins without really beating an opponent, opponents have the burden of doing a lot more than Floyd, to win.

all i can say is that had they been the same weight or similar , Calzaghe beats Mayweather so bad, because there is no defeating a windmill, you cannot counter punch , if you run it follows you, cant knock him out , 2 of the best tried , Calzaghe easy MD over Mayweather , no questions

Yet you sat here for years bashing PBF and thinking Pac was your savior despite the fact you knew what would happen when they met in the ring. Talk about irrational hate.

Why should they because people are suckers that brought into hype ?

This won't be the first or the last ..The good thing is these two will retire and hopefully the next super fight will actually deliver a fight between two guys in their prime at their best ..If you take away all the hype this was nothing more than Leaonrad Duran 3 !

Did PBF KO canelo? No, but he did damn near shut him out and gave him a boxing lesson. PBF isn't a KO puncher he's a boxing master give me a boxing master over a KO puncher anyday of the week.:deal

A lot of people like comparing Floyd to SRL and say SRL is way better than FM but, there is a problem with that because they don't view SRL through the same scope as FM. If people did they could argue SRL split fights with Hearns, lost to Hagler and split fights with Duran. Lets not forget the crazy negotiations that he pulled off when he fought Donny LaLonde. Also concerning the Hagler fight, one could also argue that SRL waited until Hagler lost a step before he jumped into the ring with him. So if you're honest with yourself you must agree with me.
