The only way to save boxing from Mayweather's boring style and to ensure young boxers don't copy him is to:

1. Severely penalize holding

2. Extend rounds from 12 to 15 to increase the likelihood of knockouts

3. Change scoring to make power punches count for 3 points more than a jab does. Etc.
