I didn't call either one a bum and I don't believe you will find a single instance of me calling a fighter a bum since I joined this forum. I have, in fact, defended Molina. I have said that he has good skills but is not a good title challenger. Gavin is much closer to world level than Molina is though.

 

hmm, deontay wilder. somehow that name rings a bell.

 

It really is funny; there's ample evidence of Wilder getting put on Sissy Avenue in the amateurs, yet MVC! loves to dredge up a five second clip of Kovalev getting knocked down by Attoev (with the footage cutting out before it can be seen if or how quickly he got up, and whether the RSC1 was legit or more of a Calzaghe vs. Manfredo deal) as proof of his own "glass jaw". :yep

 

I usually don't mind him much but I was just talking with him on another thread and he's beginning to get under my skin. I had said while chatting with another poster that I thought it a near certainty that Hearns would stop Pac in the early rounds in a hypothetical fight at WW (no discredit to Manny, Tommy is a much, much, much naturally larger man). He responded that it was no foregone conclusion since Tommy couldn't even stop a "bum like Murray Sutherland". I pointed out that Sutherland was:

a.) A MW and SMW who even fought for titles at LHW and that Pac is a former Flyweight
b.) Not a bum, but instead a longtime contender and one time SMW title holder.

To this, he responded that if Murray ever fought at LHW then he must have been drained when he fought Tommy and Tommy should have knocked the drained bum out. I pointed out that anyone who knows anything about Murray or the era knows Murray was predominantly a SMW and MW, but went up to LHW because it was where he could get a title shot. In response to this, he accused me of lying about what weight Murray fought at then told me he was done "killing [me] in this argument" and had to go. Took him about 30 posts to admit he had never heard of Murray.

Of course, there' s a big question mark on whether Molina can last two minutes (which is how long it took him to launch that first real spiteful punch versus Arreola)
