Tyson's issues were all mental, when he was mentally right which I argue was very rare at any point after the death of D'Amato - he was a tank of a man, had a high pain threshold and firmly believed he'd destroy everyone and anyone who came against him. Physically, the guy was 220 at 16 - he was a physical freak the likes of Jones Jr.
Tyson was a good enough fighter that he could absorb so much punishment and not be on the canvas from one punch to the face. Two can play the same game. Which fight did Lewi win from behind or from challenging situations? And please don't include the Vitali fight where he got a lucky victory due to corruption.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMBshAR_rsQ Watch from 3:30 onwards. He is threatening to give Foreman an early retirement ""I´ll face this guy George Foreman before he dies of rigor mortis"
Haven't seen the Briggs fight but that left Hook on Bruno was a lucky punch. Bruno had a very bad chin and serious eye problems. In the post fight press conference his manager even pushed him under the Bus "frank has such a **** chin, once you nail him he is gone". My point is that there have also been fights in Tyson's career where he has had to come back from bad situations and we cannot have double standards where we highlight these fights on Lewis's resume but not on Tyson's.
Yet when asked to fight Big George by his daddy Don King Mike screamed like a girl insisting King fight him if he wants him that bad... :rofl
Tyson never came from behind to win a fight you cretin. He NEVER won a rematch either. If you are determined to make yourself look an idiot in your laughable post regarding Lewis, don't use Tyson as a barometer.:roll:
What crack are you smoking. He had plenty of hard fights during his peak period, Tillis gave him a tough fight, he adapted and won a decision, Tucker gave him problems early on, he adapted and won a decision, He was hit by big bombs by Ruddock, he toughed it out and won a decision. As far as never coming back from behind, he was losing to Botha for 5 whole rounds, before putting him on the Canvas with one big shot. He was robbed in that Douglas fight who got a 13-14 second count after taking a battering for 8 whole rounds. He won a rematch against Ruddock which he was under no obligation to give which is the exact same excuse which you Lenni chinny cant take a punch to the face Lewi nut huggers give for the Vitali case but he chose to give the rematch because a true warrior never runs away from any challenger. So quit talking out of your behind and having one rule for Tyson and another for Lenni Chinny Cant take a punch to the face Lewi.
You notice how its bad to have a positive opinion on Tyson? Every fighter can get their just do but with Tyson its like he ****d their mother or something, faulty logic applied to Tyson that isn't applied to other fighters..made up bull**** criteria like ''overcoming adversity''..the one and only thing that should matter when judging Tyson or any other fighter is what they did in their prime years..they know in their minds Tyson was a beast and ATG and would be a handful for anyone, if he is some bum or overrated then why waste time dogging him? Speaking bs wont take away from what he did in his prime years, the tapes are there for anyone to see how dominant he was, not this ill informed nonsense
Why is it that whenever your fighter looses he was either robbed or there was corruption, can't you simply accept the outcome of a fight?
I am not slitting my wrists over the outcome, just highlighting the hypocricy and double standards people have for different fighters.
No you're not, you're calling outcomes corrupt and saying the ref basically cheated against Tyson, this isn't pointing out any kind of hypocrisy whatsoever. Instead it tells everyone that you're bitter about an outcome you don't like.
