Johnson fight no different. If he KOs Johnson people say big deal - the human punchbag's style has caught up with him.

These fights are a disgrace and no better than a teenager bashing up an 80 year old man on the street. :deal

The bookmakers have priced every Joshua fight up at 1.01 and worse which says it all really. atsch

 

I would have thought it is fairly clear to all that Joshua (whilst he obviously hits very hard) doesn't have the one punch lights out power of a Wlad, Price, Browne or Wilder.

Simply because whilst all the others have some really spectacular KTFOs on their highlight reels where the opponent is asleep before his head hits the canvas. Joshua doesn't. Most of his fights the terrible opponets have been stopped on their feet.

Hell even Tyson Fury who is not seen as a puncher has a couple of KTFOs on his CV like the lights out finish vs Nasciemto.

My concern is that Joshua is so hell bent on getting that power to get those kind of finishes he is becoming over bulky and will lose speed and stamina over longer distance fights.

 

It's a shame he doesn't have a big domestic rival where the win would send the challenger on to world honours, I'd say Fury is past that stage and on to bigger things, Chisora has declined and Price is always going to be beaten by anyone of quality if he doesn't get to them early.

 

3 good match ups per card - we didn't even get one in Birmingham,

thought the bashtov (sp) fight was a good one for AJ, which he proved better then I thought. Partially due to his injury, and more due to his promotor he's fought two pointless fights vs gavern and love but with the Johnson fights back on the right track

he's said to be on the Manchester bill and hopefully they can find a better opponent for him here who's top 10-15.

 

We had 2 originally (Gavin Vs Van Heerden and Megrino Vs Yafai) before Hearn *******ised one and the other was canned due to Yafai's injury. If he'd have given us a third one originally we'd have had a good bout left.

This is where Joshua fails because Lewis and Klitschkos first 12 fights were both fought inside a year!

 

Joshua's taken 17 months for his first 12 fights and that includes quite a while out with injury. Is that really so different from those other guys?

 

Who gives a f uck about the first 12 fights. Joshua has knocked out everyone put in front of him so far and we'll get to see how good he really is when he fights the top guys. Why are people so keen to rush him? I understand he's a gold medallist but it doesn't really matter if he beats the top guys in his first 5 fights or after 20 fights.

 

Exactly, considering how much time he missed with an injury, it's not that much of a difference. And he is fighting twice this month!

 

Its not so much rushing him in to fitting more fights like the level of opposition hes had but whos he fought thats undefeated or has any ambition left?

 

I think he gets a lot of stick simply because he's popular among casual fans. Die hards HATE sharing the opinion of a casual...
