Ive been thinking about recently and the more I think about it the more it annoys me that it's been put on PPV, yes I understand there's 2 champs travelling over and therefore need to be paid top whack but fighting at home is benefitting his fighters not us fans, I think selby is a very good fighter and it really want to see Mitchell do well but neither are ppv stars, brook I'd pay to see in a big fight, unfortunately fighting Frankie Gavin isn't a big fight, I know it's about the whole card and I know 16 pound isn't a lot I just find it quite frustrating the moment he puts on a good show which he keeps promising everyone we have to pay extra for it anyway
I agree , and adding to the 20 I paid for the May pac , that's 37 quid in a month , add that to the 82 a month for the sky , well it adds up. And when I hear the lads saying they've these xbmc thingys where it's all free .... Well I'm tempted..!
Yeah I know you can stream it and stuff but I don't really want to watch it on my laptop do you know what I mean? I want it on the tv in my front room, I pay enough for sky to think I deserve that lol
Yeh I know what you mean, but apparently these boxes are plug into the TV , I'll be watching may 30th at a pals as a test run.. If it's just as good as the sky delivery (which apparently it is) then I'll look into getting one for myself. Worst comes to worst I can always go back to sky can't i
The one the lads have, comes with a remote & instructions, then it's all basically apps which u select, from what I'm told u can search anything u like & it will be shown straight away. For the sake of £40 to buy it, it's worth a shot - the fella says if I am not happy I can sell it back for 30 too.. So gotta be worth a gamble,
Ask yourselves this: if one of Hearn or FW went out of business tomorrow and their stable could never fight again, who would you prefer went out of business? I don't think it'd be Hearn.
Well as much as people may not like Hearn for his poor cards, he has got no other controversy to his name. FW has done things in the past which have given him a bad name in boxing but Hearn, as much as some of you dislike him, he still hasn't and as described by some of his stable, he never breaks a boxer a promise that he makes to them.
I agree. I actually think Hearn's problem is that he has an awkward number of dates at the moment. If he had less he'd be force to up the quality. At the same time if he was given more dates I wonder if he would be able to do more York Hall type shows on a Friday that showcase future talent along with some domestic tear ups thus preventing us watching the likes of Gamal Yafai bashing up a complete nobody?
Yes, I'm pretty sure he doesn't pick his dates either, so he could be given 3 dates one month but his best fighters have fought in the previous 2 months or have one planned for the following month, meaning that he will have a low quality card. Think he should sign up more British level fighters myself and then you can have 2 British title fights per card, as they are always the most entertaining fights anyway.
Have you got one Pro? As I say the lads rave about them, they all stayed around and watched the Mayweather show & had no issues...
I have two satellite systems and pick up nearly every card legally together with watching legal streams. Go around a few bars and you might see matches being broadcast but not on Sky. Nothing illegal according to current UK and European Law. The majority of people now watch streams to watch Sport including the Premiership on a Saturday at 3pm although I can watch all the games on the other satellite system while listening to Andy Gray etc commentating. Watched Pac v Money at the Casino but have connected the HDMI cable to TV for the odd times where I could not view through satellite. Contrary to beliefs on here, it is illegal to provide streams but certainly not to watch. Sky etc need to address pricing because it takes months to close down a streaming website and minutes for another to take its place. You are right in that people pay a decent subscription to Sky to watch live sport and it is shocking that PPV charges are added on top. I can afford to pay but don't on the principle that there are less fortunate out there who cannot and PPV should not be encouraged.
