I think people are taken off by you in this forum because you're basically trying to tread a fine line when it's pretty easy to see your agenda. You're a Pacman superfan who's trying to exhaust every excuse in the book as to why the fight wasn't competitive. I know you're going to deny it, but seriously abuffy, you were making Pacman threads every hour for about 3 weeks straight going into the fight. Your man lost, get over it already.

Do you think any hardcore or casual boxing fan wants to see that nonsense again? Even with a healthy shoulder, Pacman isn't going to look like a 25 year old version of himself. He was the slower man on May 2nd, both of hand and foot, and rotator cuff surgery isn't really going to change that.

And this idea that it's going to make HUGE bucks might be a bit of an overstatement. DO you see anyone that was thrilled with their first fight? DO you see a bunch of people clamoring for the rematch because it was SO highly contested the first time around?

You're probably new to the sport, so let me let you in on a little secret: FLoyd always does better in his rematches. He's already seen Pacmans style and felt his power and speed. The rematch would be even less competitive and definitely less suspenseful IMO.

Sorry, but you wanting to see if Pacman is "blowing smoke" at fans is not a reason for this fight to be made again. That's actually a really moronic, self absorbed reason if anything.

Don't really see what a rematch will solve, Pacquiao was bullied and outclassed and a repaired shoulder, a 1 1/2 year layoff, and no tune up before the rematch, only sets up another excuse when he's beaten ever more soundly in a rematch. Pacquiao should retire and Mayweather should follow through with his original plan to retire after September.

 

The real question is: What made Pac think he won the fight? Raising his arms at the end was totally cringeworthy.

 

I just watched the Sky telecast and came up with a 115-113 score. Floyd got a lot of credit for punches that were being blocked and Pacquiao didn't get enough credit for punches he was blocking. They over glorified Floyds defense but ignored Manny's. The Sky announcers were almost as bad as Roy Jones. Rematch!! But I'm not buying it!
