Not motivated to avenge one of the most embarassing losses?!?! More like he knows he would get absolutely outclassed again. He won't fight Degale, he won't fight Ward and he won't fight GGG. He should just retire, he's a ducking disgrace and not worthy of being a champion.
there's nothing embarrassing about being outpointed by ward. now, not looking to avenge a thoroughly humiliating knockout loss to nobody breidis prescott, that's disgraceful ducking unworthy of a former champion.
I don't even think he would get up for a Dirrell rematch, Froch is content and rich. Content is a very bad place for a boxer to be. It's over.
I really dont like the way Carl deals with this fight, basically blaming Wards style for being boring so he wont face him again. Props to his career but the man was beat and ideally should face his biggest nemesis again. I dont blame him for bowing out at his age but he should get real regarding that loss.
Froch ventured over to the US to make the first defence of his WBC crown and fought four of his five fights in the Super Six on foreign soil, whereas Ward who only had to venture out of his home state once in the tourney and never abroad wants EVERYTHING stacked in his favour all the time because he's too much of a b*tch to fight under the same adverse conditions his little diva entitled cheating ass expects everyone else to. He calls out Golovkin and says he's a ducking him despite the fact that he said Golovkin hand't fought anyone and was only the ''second or third best MW in the world'', but then ducks the lineal LHW champ when he called him out live on HBO (in his presence) on the grounds that he was unworthy. Yes, you heard that right ''unworthy''. And Ward had not only complained about not being able to get fights, but he'd also previously said he was ready for anyone at 168 or 175 as well. lol Stevenson even offered to drop down in weight and go to his backyard, a place where Ward gets to fight to a set of rules he penned with his own hand. Did he offer to drop down in weight and fly over to clean fighter Golovkin's backyard who doesn't hold excessively to prevent his opponents from hitting him or use his head as a third weapon? Nope, he as per usual, he made doesn't want to make any concessions at all. Ward was all set to move up to 175 after the Super Six because ''there would be nothing left for him to achieve at the weight after it'' but he had a complete change of heart when Kovalev and Stevenson (the later of whom he straight up ducked him) started destroying everything in their wake. ''I'm just not a LHW''. So he's way too small for 175 but way too big for 160 or a catchweight of 164? :think Chad Dawson and Edwin Rodriguez are both as big as Kovalev and Stevenson and he handled both with ease. You can argue that they were drained because they fought him at 168 and 170 (and they surely were), but don't forget that Ward wants the full credit for 1. beating two LHWs and 2. beating them at full strength where they weren't remotely drained. You can't have your cake and eat it all, Dre. Oh wait a mo.. of course you can because that's the way you roll all the time and if anyone dares to pull you up on it you hurl your toys out of the pram and have a big strop and cry how unfair everyone is on you and how hard done by you are.
Yeah I think your right about what was going on, I think froch should have jumped at this chance though to get ward while he's rusty go out like a warrior
ideally his biggest nemesis wouldn't scupper the momentum in his own career with inactivity, and even then turn down a stadium career-high payday rematch.
I don't believe Ward will be rusty though as he stays in the gym year round and is always working on things and keeping himself in shape. He was out for 14 months prior to Rodriguez and he looked very sharp. Many of the post-fight reports mentioned how sharp he looked and that he displayed no signs of ring rust at all. Both Hunter and him were banging on about how amazing and powerful he was going to be after his shoulder surgery. Hunter was saying he wanted two tune ups now (or was it even three). They just want him to have a few soft touches because they feel like everyone is always being really mean and unfair to him. ''Just be honest with the fans'', Dre. lol
Froch - Groves 1 laid the foundations for the perfect storm which allowed the Wembley fight to happen. Short of Calzaghe coming back and taking on Froch, no fight is even close to selling out Wembley.
Clear off with that ****e , hearn just said the fight doesn't motivate him he's clearly not bothered about it wards probably not either but don't go on like froch really wanted this fight, looks like both were just bluffing
Yeah that's true alright but theres' a chance he might just not be the sharpest right now and I think it would be well worth seeing for himself. I'd love to see froch fight a really dirty fight against him from the first bell make it a real war,
