I disagree - canelo is a middleweight and has fought at middleweight as recently as Saturday - 154 is the max you can weight for a super welter (or jr middle weight) - anything over 154 up to (and including) 160 - is middle weight, 160 is the limit - the range is anything over 155-160

Now I do get what your saying but I needed to get that clear, but I agree that monroe isnt the tier of fighter GGG should be fighting.

 

MW limit is technically 154 lbs 1 oz to 160, his last 3 fights were in that limit

 

Canelo is pretty much a middleweight, he's at the very verge of moving up. He's been fighting at MW recently (I know, only technically so, he fought 154 lbers at a catchweight) but he doesn't seem comfortable in making JMW anymore.

 

so ggg can come down to 155 to fight canelo. if not stfu and wait for canelo to come up to 160 which might be in 2016.
