It says a lot about the people asking Floyd to move up

They won't give him respect unless he moves to middleweight.

They are asking him to move to 160 when he's not even a big welterweight and has no trouble making the 147 limit.

So because he's too good against men his own size they are asking him to create a deliberate disadvantage for himself by moving out of his natural weight class.

Here's an interesting perspective on things. Pac started out at 105 he fights at 147 (Pac fought at 154).

Duran started out at 118, he fought competitively at 160 (Duran fought at 168).

    Both went up 42lbs.

Floyd started at 130 and now fights at 147 that's a 17lb jump and a 24 jump if you want to give him some credit for fighting at 154.

So if these guys can do that, why can't TBE do it?

Now if he wouldn't call himself TBE I wouldn't care, but if him, and his fans, what to play TBE card, then let him prove he's TBE.

Never thought of it that way....
Not like it's impossible. I would never fault him though for not wanting to or for "ducking" GGG.

Because everybody is biologically different. Plus Floyd already has hand problems which effect how hard he can hit and would need to hit considerably harder if he moved up to keep his opponents off him. Not every fighter is the same and asking Floyd to move up to 160 to fight a guy who comes in at 170-174 is ridiculous. People need to stop being hypocrites but it's ESB they won't.

Edit: It's like asking GGG who is a natural 160 pound fighter ( rehydrates above 170 ) to fight the man 2 divisions above him so let's say LHW while Kovalev will be coming in at 190 for the fight. It's ridiculous.

    I accept your apology.

    =======================================

In 1995, the death of a young aspiring boxer and close friend, Eugene Barutag, spurred the young Pacquiao to pursue a professional boxing career. Pacquiao started his professional boxing career when he was just 16 years old, stood at 4'11'' and weighed 98 pounds (7 pounds under the minimumweight division). He admitted before American media that he put weights in his pockets to make the 105-pound weight limit. His early division fights took place in small local venues and were shown on, an evening boxing show. His professional debut was a four-round bout against Edmund "Enting" Ignacio, on January 22, 1995, which Pacquiao won via decision, becoming an instant star of the program.
Pacquiao's weight increased from 106 to 113 pounds before losing in his 12th bout against Rustico Torrecampo via a third-round knockout. Pacquiao failed to make the required weight, so he was forced to use heavier gloves than Torrecampo, thereby putting him at a disadvantage.

Yes, those who are saying Floyd is ducking GGG and the like are only doing so in hopes that the bigger man would finally be able to defeat Floyd. The agenda is seethrough.

I wouldn't be against the GGG fight at 154 though, GGG would probably be somewhat drained and Floyd is not to be underestimated, it'd be a tramendous achievement in all honesty but in the end, he's probably not going to do it and I've no problems with it.

Also, people need to stop using other fighters as examles for what this or that fighter should do, not everybody's body is the same.

And yet you say you don't hate Floyd?

Manny moved up, and got defeated.
Duran moved up, and got defeated.

Pac at the age of 17 was 105lbs as a pro.
Floyd at the age of 17 was 108lbs as an amateur.

    Next?

Pacquiao was like 15 when he turned pro. Mayweather was fighting at 105 in the amateurs when he was 15. Furthermore, Manny was coming into the ring over 140 lbs. ever since he was at 130 lbs. It's impressive that Duran was able to fight at such high weights, however, he was sill cutting a lot of weight to get to those higher weight classes. Duran wasn't walking around at 152 lbs. or so and fighting at MW.

Are there genuinely that many people calling for Floyd to face GGG?

That said, I think his primary target should be a middleweight fight against Cotto.
