Has any other boxer in history won as many weight classes as Pac has?

    Just curious. He is past his prime and I know he can't beat mayweather. BUT in his prime he has gone from flyweight and won every division up to welter. Has anyone dominated the many divisions before? Hey even the best lose some. I think you have to look past his 6 losses to appreciate his greatness. The May pac fiasco doesn't do anything.

    Not yet I don't think, Pacquiao is the record holder. However James "The Devil" Stabler is planning to go from HW all the way down to SFW, winning a version of the world title in each division along the way.

    He won a world title or the lineal title in 8 divisions.

    However, he was not #1 in all of them.

    And because he rose up so many divisions, he didn't stick around to dominate any one of them.

    People always try to make it seem like he was THE MAN in all of the divisions he was in which is absolute bull****. Don't get me started on the titles he won at a catchweight

    I love Pacquiao but I don't think he's a real eight division world champion, hell of a rise up the weights whatever the number is.

    Well there are 17 divisions now which is relatively recent.

    In time, this sort of thing won't be weird at all.

    Catch weight Bullshieeet belts won't hold any water for either pac or floyd when compared to atg's. Besides, there's so many weight divisions today compared to the past that it has diluted winning belts at multiple classes.

    pacs legacy is way better than froids their fight doesn't alter that. 8 division champ & FIGHTER of the ERA

    I don't know. At 122 he was the man. He had numerous defenses including destroying "the man" in Ledwaba.

    At 126 he ran through Barrera and beat Marquez if not for the judges error.

    He lost to Morales at 130. A fellow ATG. But destroyed everybody else there.

    He cleaned out 140.

    True, but he did have a lot of fights sub 147, but over 140. Bradley, Hatton, Algieri were pretty much JWW's.

    Pac was so obviously the man at 122 it's not even funny.

    At 126 he did things that were absolutely shocking.

    Same with 130.

    How exactly? he beat the fcuk out of Margarito. AM had been a 147lb fighter for a long time, so the CW is pretty much irrelevant.

    Against the lineal champion, there was no one really around at 140 at that time, from memory Malignaggi was the next best guy who Hatton just beat.

    The catch weight was certainly not irrelevant, nor is Margo's previous weight. That's kind of the whole point. You had 2 guys who weren't even campaigning at 154 given the chance to compete for a vacant 154 pound title at a catch weight of 151.

    That's as tainted as it gets.

    Agreed. They shouldn't allow people to win a belt unless it's fought at the weight class limit.
