More likely, Wlad was on peds but still failed to deliver against a journeyman. That being said, that fight was over 11 years ago and Wlads last loss to date. To rise from the gutter of the Sanders and Brewster defeats to become the heavyweight champ for 10 years straight is truly an amazing and inspiring story. Wlad is without a doubt the greatest heavyweight....no, the greatest boxer....no, the greatest athlete to ever lace up a jock in world history!!!
Hardly not outside the realm of possibility. Curious how it never happened again, which leads one away from strictly a conditioning issue.
Wasn't Don King involved ? I think Foreman said he believes Don drugged him for the Ali fight also and was really tired before he really spent any energy.
Suspicious defeats (Vit-Byrd, Vlad-Brewster) helped brothers to break the contracts with the Universum and find the money for own K2 establishing.
Something was wrong with Wlad that night, any sensible person can clearly see that. I've never seen a "hurt" fighter act like that, something just wasn't right. He was utterly exhausted.
Was Wlad drugged? No, he took huge bombs to the chin that took his spirits. Was Wlad at his best physically? No, he looked drained and tired from round 2 on (before Brewster started landing his big shots). Not drugged, but certainly not in his best condition. I think his preparation/nutrition and stamina training must have had an issue.
False. Wlad was not hurt, he was exhausted. There's a difference. Have you ever been hit on the head hard? Now have you ever been really tired? Pretty different, and in Wlads case it was the latter. I'm not saying the drugging allegations are true, but something was wrong with Wlad that night...
