It says a lot about the people asking Floyd to move up

I'm well aware it won't happen, not for the reasons you stated but that Floyd is scared of getting KO'd.

However, the point I was making is that he would not have to move to 160, the fight would be at 154.

To keep saying 160 is to subvert the truth.

Duran lost, DLh lost, SRL lost, Pac lost, etc. but they had the guts to challenge themselves.

Floyd is undefeated because he didn't.

That was pretty much the point, wasn't it.

didn't pac turn pro at 16? IIRC, floyd was fighting around the same weight at that age in the amateurs. Also, Pac never fought at 154

Do you have any interest in addressing this....?

You used the 'Floyd was fighting at 108 at the same age Pac was fighting at 105 logic', which I have no issue with.

    Yet....

Do you fail to realize this is the exact same logic you refused to acknowledge in the corresponding GGG thread?

GGG at the age of 18 was 140 lbs as an amateur.
Canelo at the age of 18 was 147 lbs as a pro.

GGG at the age of 18 was 140 lbs as an amateur.
Cotto at the age of 18 was 140 lbs as an amateur.

Yes, people's bodies mature differently and at different times. But you can't completely disregard this logic in the case of 1 fighter and then turn around and use it in favor of another fighter.

More so, GGG has been a middleweight for over ten years.

Look at the changes Floyd went through from 16-20 - he went from 105 to 130. Once he hit 20, he was a lot more steady in his weight classes.

GGG hasn't boxed at 140 since he was 20. Cotto boxed there as late as 24.

Floyd broughr Canelo down 2 pounds and yall complain about it. You expect him to get credit for bringing GGG 6 pounds?

At least 154 is a legitimate weight class, for what that's worth.

yeah true. In a perfect world, GGG would beat Lara at 154 for the regular WBA belt and become Floyd's mandatory while also proving that he can be effective at that weight. I'd be calling for that fight also.

unless Floyd relinquishes all his belts like he said he would

Floyd gets plenty of credit for beating Canelo, the 2lbs thing barely gets a mention.

I'm not pushing for Floyd-Golovkin, imo he should fight Thurman, Brook, Khan or rematch Pacquiao.

I was pointing out this talk of 160 is a subversive of the truth, which is that the fight would take place at 154 where he holds two belts.

I agreed with your point, though. Even though 154 is a true weight class, Floyd would get no credit in the event he beat GGG at that weight. It would be Ward-Dawson all over again.

    1. You give Pac credit for fighting at 154 but are reluctant to give Floyd credit?
    2. Calling himself "TBE" should have no bearing on how someone rates him.
    3. Pac and Duran carried power up, Floyd doesn't even carry power at welterweight.
    4. Mayweather started his amateur career at 106 lbs, Pacquiao doesn't have an amateur background so went pro at a younger age than Floyd. They started at the same weight.

    Just some knowledge for ya.

I don't agree with #2. If you say you're the best ever, better than Ali, you better take steps to prove it or fall back and stfu.
