All good things come to an end. Sturm has been unlucky with a lot of decisions on HIS home turf, oddly. But maybe its time he did retire before he starts to take too much punishment. Great champion though.

Sturm is a coward but he made the best out of his limited abilities. He wanted to earn money and protect his chin. He paid off the WBA and handpicked B class opponents to look good against -- he still lost many fights and won some robberies.

But look guys he KNOWS he's not elite level. He knows he's very very vulnerable.

He should retired now, not sure if he has a final payday lined up vs. the likes of Abraham.

:rofl SEMI??? That was one of the biggest robberies ever, no one in the world apart from payed off judges scored it for Oscar.

He's done as a top level for quite some time. It's sad to see him losing to the likes of Soliman and Chudinov, even Geale (controversial though). Also, Stieglitz was gifted a draw in that fight. It probably the last dance from Sturm.

Sturm from 7-8 years ago would have no problem beating those guys. But I guess that he decided to stick for so long because he's really been making a lot of money.

It is not out of question that he fights Abraham (if he beats Stieglitz) for that final paycheck.

They showed Bernard Hopkins via satellite watching the fight. He was nervous. If Oscar lost this then their mega fight wouldn't come together.

So yea it was obviously a huge huge robbery and everyone involved knew it. Check Hopkins face expression after they read the decision. He was like "wtf? OMG I just won the lottery!" :rofl:rofl:rofl

He's never been consistent in all fairness. You never quite know what you're going to get with him.. he'll probably knock someone out in his next fight.

He's clearly past it, and I think the bigtime is over for him.

What I hate about people commenting on him is that he has the name to have gotten a lot of decisions in his favor he didn't deserve, while in reality it's the other way round.
I've seen one fight where he got a gift (Macklin), and more where he got the short stick while winning in most impartial viewers eyes. The DLH fight obviously, but also Geale and Soliman I. Not to forget most in the RbR scored the Murray fight for him (even Brits rooting for their man) wich was called a draw.
Still people constantly act like he got away with many dodgy decisions in his career like Ottke, wich is complete and utter bull.

What he clearly was guilty of in his career, was ducking his mandatory Golovkin and avoiding travelling and other big names. It's one thing to have bitter USA home cooking taste in your mouth, but another to never travel again.

He looked woeful last week. Like a walking zombie.

Abraham can look poor , then come back stronger. Don't think Sturm is cut from the same cloth.
