It's tough to take your post seriously if you can't appreciate modern boxing. I do agree with what your saying, and you're right to stop watching it. If you've got a negative view on modern boxing as a whole, then posting your views is a recipe for disaster. Your comparing eras naturally, which isn't fair and Seeing two adults verbally degrade each other through the means of a sport that we all enjoy/enjoyed/carry on enjoying, isn't needed on this forum and quite frankly embarrassing.

Not too sure why I picked out that post to quote. I wasn't attacking anyone individually

I came across one pac**** who claimed Floyd only won because of Pacqiauos shoulder injury which stopped him from letting his hands go.

Manny would outwork Floyd in a rematch.

The only person who would claim "comparing eras naturally isnt fair" is someone who knows that pretty much every other era of boxing ****s all over this one. Boxing is a form of entertainment and its a competetive sport. Why wouldnt anyone want to say that boxing was more competetive and more entertaining than it is today in other eras?

Pac does not deserve another payday and in a re match there is a chance he would not win a single round Complete waste of time due to the absolute non competitive nature of the first fight.

So called Prime Oscar and Mosley wanted nothing to do with Floyd because he high risk, low reward. Remember Mosley had a toothache:good

Honestly I'd prefer GGG-Ward, its a better fight.

GGG-Ward is the next PAC-Floyd, if only they can build it the way it deserves to be built.

I still find boxing entertaining. But I don't live and die over every match, and I don't watch Mayweather fights.

Lucas Matthysse vs John Molina Jr. (light welterweight) 2014
Orlando Salido vs Terdsak Kokietgym (super featherweight) 2014
Monty Meza Clay vs Alan Herrera (lightweight) 2014
Marquez vs Pacquiao IV (welterweight) 2012
Brandon Rios vs Mike Alvarado(junior welterweight) 2012
Robert Guerrero vs Andre Berto (welterweight) 2012
Roman Gonzalez vs Juan Francisco Estrada (Light Flyweight) 2012
Pawel Wolak vs Delvin Rodriguez (junior middleweight) 2011
Ivan Calderon vs Giovani Segura I (straw weight) 2010
Paul Williams vs Sergio Martinez I (middleweight) 2009
Bernard Dunne vs Ricardo Cordoba (super bantamweight) 2009
Israel Vazquez vs Rafael Marquez III (super bantamweight) 2008
Israel Vazquez vs Rafael Marquez II (super bantamweight) 2007
Corrales vs Castillo I (lightweight) 2005
Erik Morales vs Manny Pacquiao I (super featherweight) 2005
Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales III (super featherweight) 2004
Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez I (featherweight) 2004
Gatti vs Ward III (light welterweight) 2003
Gatti vs Ward I (light welterweight) 2002

That's when I started watching boxing, Gatti vs Ward I. In 35 years, I think people will have a ****ty high profile fight and look back to our time wishing they could have fights like those.

I'm not sure I can answer that. My excuse however lies in the fact that I've never lived through greater eras, I find the state of boxing very disturbing, but I find that with most sports. Maybe it's just the area I live in. I have little to any friends that I can have a decent, two sided conversation about any fighter older than Floyd Mayweather. That's why I like you guys and although I think my opinions are fairly fragile because of this, so I'll willingly accept any critisism and take it on board and although this era has a bad tint around it too many, I feel great pride in the fact I started watching boxing in an era where I have access to virtually any significant fight within hours of it happening.

Hopefully there's a light at the end of the tunnel for eras to come
