I don't get this utter nonsense that "Carl only has 'one' fight left in him."

He has more than one. Excluding Groves I, and at a stretch, Kessler II, Carl hasn't been in that many gruelling fights in a long time. Not to mention that he has had a year off, walks around at his fight weight, prepares like a professional and 'lives the life', it's absurd to think that he hasn't got 3 fights left in him.

Carl should try and face Cotto at say 162 or a similar catch-weight.

You are aware that Golovkin is regularly drawing 10,000 plus crowds in California aren't you? He's not 'a curiosity', he's a major attraction. He'd flatten Froch and Carl knows that himself.

I am not talking about the result. I agree GGG would be a very warm favourite. But he does not have mainstream appeal that will get Froch the money he wants, as 15,000 in California is not enough.

40,000 in the City ground, complimented by a Million buys on SBO is what Froch wants, and Froch/Golovkin will not do that.

I think if the money is right Carl would have another dozen fights! The 'one fight left' is a bargaining tool to get the monies he wants. Cotto is more known than GGG, but I do not know if the purse would tempt Froch.

Hahahaha Froch is too big for GGG at 168. If GGG traded with Froch the way I have seen him do in his last few fights he would get knocked out George Groves style!!

i have to disagree on the size factor, the reason froch has never moved up is because he walks around close to the weight so i dont think the size difference would be as big as you think!

ggg has the one thing that george groves doesnt!!! a rock solid chin!!! if carl was to finish ggg it would be by damaging his high cheekbones and causing his eyes to close. ggg gets marked up very easily but imo he has the power to take out froch also, ggg wouldnt let him off the hook like george did in there first fight.

Yep. Froch is not the most pleasant human being, but his resume is fantastic. As far as I am concerned he has earned the right to fight whoever he wants or retire if he wants.

GGG stands at 5foot 10 Froch is just over 6foot 1 I believe, he would seem a lot bigger because he would be. The reach advantage Froch most likely would have would just see GGG get jabbed at will and then if he were to try and trade with Froch, as I say I think his chin would not stand up to it!! Love to see the fight though and not saying it would be a foregone conclusion. Just my opinion!!

Eddie Hearn has been talking about super fights for Froch since Bute then we check the dung served up since.

Fight the man Chicken Froch - people will respect you more win or lose.

True, but I reckon Carl would get a great payday out of Cotto.

No doubt Carl respects the hell out of him as well.

To be honest I think Froch might end up retiring soon without the last fight we've been hearing about for so long. He has been idle for quite a while now and there's no sign of any fight being made.

He has had a decent career and fought pretty much all the top fighters at SMW post-Calzaghe.
