If Golovkin wants the fight now, then he should be ready to meet at Canelo's preferred weight

If they aren't willing to do that, then they should wait until Canelo moves up

That's the point, he's making it clear he's not accepting any Catchweight offers from Alvarez.

Everybody in the world knows that Canelo's big ass is no longer a JMW. He's gonna have to drop the BS and step into the fire if he wants to wear the mantle of greatness.

Lara seems to really want this fight

This is probably the most competitive and interesting fight below 168 for Golovkin

Golovkins team should make it happen

I favor Golovkin in this fight but it should be fun

This fight will be fun for everyone except Lara who will curse the day he signed to fight Golovkin the moment he starts getting tagged

If Angulo can drop him then GGG can drop & stop him.

GGG would need to play it perfectly... & so would Lara.

GGG can't be missing shots and gassing out. Try and jump on him in round 1 or 2. If that fails then take round 3 off and use that footwork and ring cutting off skills to slowly find his way to Lara and stop him later on. Lara on the otherhand will be running a marathon.

I think Golovkin will probably struggle to land on Lara more than he has in his entire professional career

Lara's skills are top notch and I think at this point he is underrated

It won't be easy for either guy

Golovkin is perfectly comfortable where he's at knocking out cans.

You think he's gonna risk his perfect 14-0 title bouts fighting a legitimate threat?

    Nope!

GGG straight destroys Lara, I really do hope this fight is made. Lara is a great boxer and I respect him a lot but GGG is a bad stylistic matchup for him I feel. If Monroe fight in which GGG COMPLETELY neutralized the boxer's main gameplan (box and move) is an example of why Lara would be succesful you have another thing coming lol.

Lara will try to look pretty at first. As soon as he starts getting tagged, he's gonna start running and potshotting which in the end, won't save him

This is one of several reasons I think Golovkin is technically more sound than Alvarez. Golovkin has no issue cutting off the ring, and is very smart at lulling runners to sleep with his jabs and subtle side to side head movement to get in range while cornering a guy simultaneously
