Let's petition HBO to do a co-PPV with Showtime to pit GGG vs Lara

    Come on fightfans.....

    Lara is the best LMW in the world. He's supposedly begging for the fight, but his manager won't let him fight on HBO.

    Well, if Mayweather Pac can be made with both Networks, why can't GGG vs Lara as well.

    Put Gonzalez vs Ioka as chief support, and throw Kathy Duva a bone by pitting Stevenson vs Kovalev on their as well.

    The 4 monster punchers on the same card would easily do 600K+ PPVs, a fairly nice split for the networks who'd only have to pay out about 30 million in total purses with GGG, Kovalev and Stevenson each getting $5-7 mil, while Gonzalez and Lara would be thrilled to take home $1 million each and Ioka could get 500K.

    Lara burned all of his bridges running from Canelo. he'll never be on HBO again, much less a PPV. another problem is he does nothing for Triple G's middleweight ambitions.

    Not going to happen right away. Triple G has his eyes on unifying the division and those fights are easier to make. Lara would be best served to move to middleweight and win a few fights and hope for the end of 2016 for fight.

    Gather half a million people who legally commits to buying PPV when that fight happens and they will look into it. "Please HBO pls pls pls :-(" won't do the trick.

    I have to agree/wonder about the last statment made here by shoe - realistically would Laras scalp on GGGs resume actually be worth it, say the fight and GGG wins - I can see the people who want GGG to step-up instantly de-tract the win with "lara wasnt a MW/he's picking on smaller people" etc, now I'm not saying I dont want to see the fight but I'm not sure it's a fight that if won would show GGG as being elite.

    The only smaller fighter I can condone GGG fighting is cotto - like it or not he has the MW title, he wasnt gifted it, he decided to go up and get it and this is the consequence of doing so.

    Well neither guy is a PPV fighter so that idea is just pointless at this juncture.

    I would love to see the fight. Lara is a very crafty boxer but I just don't know how well he'd take Gennady's punches. You'd have to favor GGG if the fight took place at 160 lbs.

    Why dont Hbo/Showtime get together and make a fight between the reigning wba jrmw champion Floyd Mayweather and GGG which is a fight people would actually watch. Or if thats too scary for you *****s how about Floyd faces Lara instead since they both hold titles in the division.
