This sucks! I love Golovkins broken English, it added so much to his character and was freaking hilarious. But last night, although fun, sounded like he's getting better at English. Which means we may never hear "are you serious", "he's a good boy", " yes no...yes i'm ready" LOL

What do you guys think, and what are your favorite Golovkin quotes.

p.s. but hey he his spanish may still be funny "buenas noches amigos, estas bien!"

  5. Better than when he first started definitely. He's getting better each fight. After a while he will be talking all types of ****.

Well him living in California should help with his learning curve. It would be nice if they get an interpreter in the ring to speak on his behalf, but you have to commend him for trying.

Learning a new language, especially as you get older, is not that easy. Luckily for him though, he's immersed in an english speaking community so he should get better with time.

If the purpose of language is to communicate, he speaks much better than Adrian Broner whose vocabulary consists of 2 words - y'all and shlt.

he sounded ridiculous to me... hate all that smiling..reminded me of Oscar De La Hoya..... still he is one of my favorite fighters and love watching him fight... hope he gets a good opponent who will press him.. did not like how he invited someone to hit him... that's too arrogant

If you listen to GGG you will realize he sounds a lot like Wlad used to sound. They were told to put their best foot forward, smile a lot and say Thank you. He does all of the above but hey cut the guy some slack. If you or I were getting instruction from ex-pro boxers in Russia you can only imagine how we would come off.
