Perspective: Arthur Abraham compared to GGG

Good thread. You're right in that we must keep perspective. Many of us are crowning him before he's really backed it up with the needed results against stiffer competition. I think he'll carry his pedigree through quite well, but until it's actually done it's only imagined potential.

 

Taylor wasn't at MW, and was coming off a crushing stoppage loss. Miranda is not much, what's his career best win, Allan Green who wasn't even top ten. And many felt that he beat Abe. Marquez was a past prime SWW, that was his last fight. He'd just drew with McKart and barely squeaked by Lorenzo. Doubt he was top 10 even then, when the division was even weaker top to bottom

 

No doubt Abe had the better opponents overall.

Even his body of work before his title had some decent names in it.

But Abraham had some lackadaisical performances, even struggled in a couple.
Whereas the G-Spot doing it easy at the moment.

No way guys like Shannon Taylor or Elvin Ayala make it past the 2nd round against Triple Gizzy.
