I wouldnt be opposed to either idea.

But Floyd is a WW, and seeing him slaughtered at age 38 by a ruthless prime wrecking ball MW is not, even as a Floyd hater, the type of fight I'd like to see.

However, Lara vs Floyd would be great, as Lara would be FORCED to fight off the front foot, and that could actually be entertaining to see. :think

At least he's willing to face the man, where is Canelo? hiding under the fish net.

Lara doesn't have a contract with Showtime. Very few fighters in fact have exclusive contracts with any U.S. network. Lara's next fight is on Spike.

Very few fighters signed to Lara's adviser can really pick their opponents. If his adviser was willing to allow the fight, I'd be all for it.

I don't care if it's Golovkin, Kovalev, or even Pacquiao. After what the industry put fans through for that $100 on May 2, I will be very hesitant to ever purchase a PPV event again. The unmitigated gall that was shown towards the fans was just awful. The event reportedly made upwards of half a billion dollars and they couldn't spend even one or two extra million to put together an adequate undercard showing.

It would do 10 buys, 5 for each network.

It's hard enough getting people to watch Lara when it's free.

Al Haymon is paying out of his own pocket for his fighters to fight on PBC networks.
If you were paying your own money, would you let one of your fighters fight on another network unless they absolutely had to?

GGG, Kovalev, Gonzalez and Stevenson would sell the PPV.

Their opponents are all top 1-2 in their perspective divisions with solid name value.

Lara vs Canelo wasnt boring until Lara quit throwing and let Canelo into the fight.

First 3 to 4 rds, driving 1-2s then slipping was a masterclass, but then he started running.

I believe he could start similarly to that in a fight with GGG, winning 3 or 4 of the first 6, but GGG is a very calculated and measured fighter, he'd eventually find Laras rhythm and time him coming out a corner and drop him.

    The place would explode....

    As for the supporting bouts...

Come on.....Haymon has Beterbiev ready to take over at LHW in 2 yrs time. He'll start with Brahmer, then drag out a Kovalev fight til Kovalev looks to have lost a step, then he'll enforce that fight. So surely, he's ready at any moment to cash-out Stevenson.

And what better way, then on a PPV where he'd get the biggest bang for his buck.

Kathy Duva would be thrilled to see Kovalev become the first 4 title Undisputed LHW Champion in history, and of course, when Sergey put's Adonis to sleep, the crowd would also blow the roof.

Gonzalez......everyone has been waiting a long time to see him, and Showimte subcribers missed the boat. Im positive they be happy to cough up 49.99 for this card. :good

Lol @ all the Golovkin stans dismissing the fight because they say it won't sell when deep down they don't want their boy to be in threat of getting whooped by Lara.

not true. i don't see any threat to Golovkin below 175 right now besides Lemieux. he has enough speed, decent boxer lately and most importantly the power. i'm anxious to see if and how he solves N'dam.

Apologies, I didn't actually read the whole post. Having those fighters on the same card would be as PPV worthy as anything else these days, but I view PPV as a scam anyway. It's fantasyland anyway to have a card like that.

Lemieux is much improved insofar as stamina and technique since Rubio. i think Triple G beats him still, but he's no pushover. and no one wants to take Lemieux's best shot.
