Actually, you can judge those things much better in slow motion.

Also, in slow motion you can see much better the Mayweather shots that didn't actually land (and vice versa). It turns out that he didn't hit Pac more than Pac was hitting him. It was very even overall. What good is it to have apparent "control" when it doesn't enable you to hit your opponent more than they hit you?

I'm actually considering watching MMA now after that May Pac fight lol. I don't expect any of my casual boxing fans friends to pay for a PPV again. Ppl say that boxing is relevant because of this May Pac fight ... I feel the opposite, and it's done worse for the sport.

LMFAO so laying on a guy on the ground is more exciting to you? The only horizontal sports I want to see is porn.

Watching it in slow motion I come away with two things:

    1. Manny Paquiao is damn ugly.

    2. Why hasn't this guy learned to speak English yet?

Anyone saying the fight is a schooling clearly is a nuthugger.. The fight actually is a lot closer upon careful review. The only punch that hurt Pac was the one that hit him squarely on the shoulder. Floyd missing a lot of punches, commentators were very biased and people questioning the punch stats have some basis.

I saw the fight live and it was clear Mayweather won easily! No controversy, no excuses, nothing. The easiest fight in 7 years!

Manny lost easily and is an excuse filled sore loser. With ZERO class after the fight.

i said from day 1, opponents have to do a lot more than Mayweather to win rounds. The thing is, you could argue Mayweather has owned this right, it would be somewhat a disservice to have him lose for the first time when someone like Pacquiao did he bare minimum. Pacquiao needed to do more.

but reality is, Floyd landing more, especially real punches per official boxing rules, is highly questionable? Did Floyd outbox Manny? depends on how you look at it. Nowadays, people tend to call the runner the 'boxer', simply because he runs, uses defense. The one pressing, trying to fight is deemed the 'brawler'. It's ridiculous, really. Manny was as much a boxer as Floyd in that fight; in fact, him trying to be too much of a 'boxer' was his undoing. Manny was way to cautious and inactive. Floyd won by such margins because he's Floyd and he doesn't have to do anything special to win; opponents have that burden. Pacquiao realized that you are in for a difficult night against Floyd when he runs so much and wins every close round; opponents have to clearly win rounds to beat Mayweather.

Wait! Do you know how desperate and sad you have to be to watch an entire fight is slow motion. :rofl

OR even watching a 10 minute edited video on YouTube is a sure way to get the fight overturned or make TMT take an immediate rematch. More people should make slow motion vids.
Maybe Danny will rematch Lamont and Herrera... after you and "the society of slow motion boxing watchers" get out to protest.

    excellent post.

For the kind of money they both made, their performances were criminal. Canelo and Kirkland, GGG sv Monroes went in there to fight and made 1/10 of what Pac vs Mayweather made, if that. The adulation hurled at Mayweather for 'boxing' by running, barely engaging in exchanges, barely throwing and making fight a snoozfest is embarrassing. Commentators have pressure to worship the Jordon of boxing and he gets praise of being a master boxer when all he is doing is refusing to fight; he has made boxing a sport of sissies and his performance on May 2 was exhibit A. The f guy made 200+ million! by running, refusing to fight, throwing baby jabs, fighting scared and dazzling judges and bias commentators with his ballet dancing and defensive moves.. Pacquiao, on the other hand, fought cautious and scared too. He was also way too inactive and refusing to press more, even if it required taking more risks.. for f 100 million+ both these mo fos should've given us a fight, not a glorified sparring session where neither really wanted to fight.

Kellerman: Isnt that what you were training for these past few months?
Pacqiauo: Er i believe i won the fight.
