Well Roach is finally saying something right. No pro boxer in the history of this sport at the age of 33 as fought so many D level fighters as much as GGG.

So a guy that puts all his fighters in disgraceful "catchweight" fights and currently trains GGG's mandatory (that has no plans of fighting GGG) is saying GGG is a 'protected' fighter? :huh

    Explain that logic to me.

Roach has a point ... time for Cotto to step up and put GGG in his place, then? :scaredas: Old Freddie should keep quiet when it is his fighter that is doing the ducking.

:patsch Roach talked alot of nonsense in the past.

It is his fighter who holds a MW belt since nearly 1 year hasn't fought at the middleweighlimit at all, has defended not once has a mandatory since 7 month and now fights a Golovkin leftover at catchweight below 160

for me Cotto is a cherry picker and a protected fighter

Cotto has fought the best of the best in his era. Why does he need to give GGG a payday. Let GGG go and fight Ward and gain his own standing.

Uh-oh, now Roach will have to deal with an ocean of down syndrome patients that are ill enough to argue that GGG is fighting A class opposition.

GGG fought three top 10 middleweights in Geale, Murray and Macklin. If they're "D levle fighters" I can't imagine what your A level fighter is.

Murray is the only name that stands out on that list. Geale was coming off a loss to Barker and Macklin was coming off losses to both Sturm and Martinez.

GGG is the Mandatory. He wants to unify the division he is fighting in first. By the same token why doesn't Ward go and fight Kovalev?
