Can someone explain why Froch deserves to cherry pick?

He's an out-and-out ducker. Blatantly and officially ducked DeGale and Ward rematch. Won't go near Hopkins, GGG, Kovalev or Stevenson. He was very lucky to have shot-to-death middles and light-heavies in the super-middle super-six tourney, because Abraham, Taylor and Glencoffe look like good names on his record. I feel Glencoffe and Dirrell both beat him and a 2006 Kessler and 2004 Taylor would both wipe the floor with him.

The most over-rated, overpaid, over-recognised fighter I've ever known in the sport.

I've been following since 1980 and never known more of a disgrace to the game than Froch. He considers himself a cross between Hearns and Leonard (nothing could be further from the truth)? He disrespects his elders Eubank, Benn and Calzaghe - the men who laid the foundations down for him to make the money he makes - saying he had a better record than them all? He gives up two world titles rather than face men who would probably beat him? Go out on your shield if you're the great warrior you always say are. You did knock down George Groves in front of a said-to-be 80K (more like 40K due to touts overestimations), but you're not an international superstar son.

Boxing fans want to watch boxing and when you pay for a sky subscription you cant blame fans for not wanting to pay more but still wanting to see the fight

Any boxer who can come into the sport, make a killing, and get out with his sanity has to be respected. Even his ginger sidekick Macaulay Culkin falls into this category. As to whether he 'deserves' it life ain't about who deserves things. :thumbsup

Froch is 'where he is' largely through pure luck.

saying he can't get up for a degale fight isn't backtracking, it's entirely consistent with what he's said all along.

what more could he do than make ward a great offer that was refused?

let's be honest, retirement won't stop you groves and khan fans whining about froch.

he didn't give up his wba belt, he was stripped while waiting on purse bids. if anybody ducked the rematch it was ward.

3 mandatories and a unification in 4 fights isn't good enough for you?

It's not a case of cherry picking though is it, is he looking for the easiest possible fight? No he isn't, he is finding or trying to find a fight that would give him the biggest payday, which was Chavez, but not anymore, hence why he is struggling to find a fight.

    1. Calzaghe decided to seek Hopkins rather than massacre Carl's face.

    2. Taylor was lacking stamina at the heavier weight, so much so a 15mph wind would've blew him over in the 12th round. Froch finished him with a second to go before lopsided points defeat.

    3. Dirrell beat him in his backyard but didn't get the decision.

    4. Glencoffe beat him but didn't get the nod.

    5. He got a world title shot directly following defeat, twice! Against a physical midget (AA) and mental midget (LB). Most have to work their way back up the rankings in hard fights. Not Froch, he gets the easy ride.

    6. Ward won every second of every round and the judges nearly found it a draw (!?!), making it seem much closer than it was.

    7. Mack is the worst world title challenger I've ever seen.

    8. Saved by the bell and later saved by the ref, in first Groves fight.

    9. Groves drums up the rematch and personality-less Froch runs to the bank laughing.

    10. Keeps his self-proclaimed warrior status despite quitting on his belts to avoid further career defeats.
