Whether he'd be good or not is irrelevent, the question is whether he'd be AS GOOD as at 160, that's very unlikely given that it's not his natural weight class.

It'd be a similar situation to Sanchez-Gomez for me, Gomez looked like a total destroyer at BW/SBW, nobody could touch him, once he moved up to Featherweight to face Sanchez he wasn't as good, now Sanchez may have the name Gomez on his record but in my eyes it's not the Gomez of SBW he beat so I do not give him FULL credit for that victory.

Yes, Froch is past prime, I didn't argue that. Either way, these aren't excuses, you can't just put blinkers on and ignore these factors and dismiss them as "excuses" when you evaluate wins.

How can it "negate that fact"? They're not related premises.

Froch is the bigger man. He's past his best. One doesn't negate the other. :blood

Great fight.....Froch has been inactive for a minute. He might want a tune up to prepare for Golovkin.

Good point. I can't argue with that. On another note, I don't think Golovkin will be AS good at 168 for 2 reasons: 1) the additional 8 lbs and 2) his opponents being naturally bigger than the middleweights. So fights would last longer and Golovkin could get hurt too.

I disagree. It sounds silly because I'm not sure how to articulate it, but let's say someone moves up, fights a guy that's shot but naturally bigger. Does it even out? :nut

    I call BS.

They're just using Froch's name to drum up interest in Bum-love-kin's next TOMATO CAN opening...

Why do people luuuuurve to talk up Froch's iron chin?

He was dropped by Taylor, dropped by Groves. GGG would have him on the canvas for sure

Froch has already addressed the issue with a Golovkin fight. HBO said it wasn't PPV and Froch is basically all but retired he isn't stepping back in the ring unless there is big money coming his way.

So why I commend Golovkin for wanting to take what is a very dangerous fight the chances of this happening without HBO taking a big financial risk is unlikely.

I can't believe people think Froch is going win this, if it happens. He has NO movement whatsoever and will be a sitting duck for Golovkin.

Dude has never been knocked down as a professional or amateur. And Froch himself has been floored a few times. He is toast in this fight.

    LOL...

Froch's level of opposition takes a HUGE dump on Bum-love-kin's level of opposition. In reality, the two aren't even close in that regard.
