Oh please he wasn't. Tyson was as bad as Lenni Chinny cant take a punch to the face Lewi against Rahman.

Tyson's weight against Berbick 221lb, against Douglas 220lb. Yeah you're right Tyson was grossly out of shape....

Stamina? He drained and starved himself to trim his weight from 250 lbs to 220 lbs in a week. Just because he was 220 lbs doesn't mean he had the condition to box for a long fight which is what he needed on that night.

Tyson was not grossly out of shape for his bout with Douglas. However that does not mean he took Douglas very seriously. IMO Douglas fought a great fight and on that night he would have beat any version of Tyson. Douglas was in the zone for this fight.

I remember watching the fight and thinking they were both in great shape, and both giving it their all, resulting in a great bout. The best man on that night won.

I have watched the fight, even though Tyson is weighing 220 lbs but he is horribly short of Stamina and fitness. He stopped moving his head, stopped going for combinations to the body and was out of gas early into the fight.

But my word Douglas was really up for it. He trained very hard and even better came with a solid determined game plan and stuck to it. He moved around the ring, used his jab, punched, used the upper cut or clinched Tyson when he moved on the inside. Flawless performance.

I will be honest enough to admit that night was the best night of Douglas life and the Worst of Tyson though i think he was in even more aweful shape against Lewis in 2002.

Tyson also got hit with something like 100 jabs through three. That is an absurd, ludicrous number. You get hit in the face 100 times by a big man with a world-class jab you'll look gassed too.

The inability of Tyson fans to give Douglas even an ounce of credit for his "slowing down" really sticks in my craw.

That's Tyson. Hurt him and make him think and he can't handle it.

All the Tyson fan boys need to do is go to the You Tube video of the fight. As he gets to the ring the first words the commentator says are " Tyson in great shape at 220 and one half pounds "

Of course they won't because they would rather believe the nonsense that one of their own idiots puts out along the lines of he weighed 250 a week before the fight. They are far too dumb to even think why would he suddenly take enough interest to lose 30 lbs in a week, when he didn't give a sh it about it for the other 7 weeks at training camp.

Those same kind of idiots believe that Kennedy was killed by John Wayne, and the World Trade Centre was blown up from the inside.

Another load of bull**** there's plenty of vids of Tyson in Tokyo prior to the fight and he's not overweight. Go watch Greg Page put him straight on his ass, Tyson is in fine shape!!

I'd have thought after the first round Tyson would have taken Douglas very seriously...

HAHAHAHAHA whatever you say buddy! Go watch a fight for once and learn to understand it and maybe you won't sound so ignorant. You couldn't count a single ab in Mike's stomach vs Douglas. Peak condition, I think not.

Here is an interview with Kevin Rooney who Robin Givens and Don King got Mike away from and as soon as they did he was surrounded by "yes" men and not hard nosed trainers that knew how to handle Mike.
