Darleys Perez v Anthony Crolla. WBA Lightweight title. July 18th

Can Million Dollar Crolla defeat Perez on the Quigg/ Martinez card and win a world title. Discuss.

 

I really hope so but I fear not.

 

Yeah. I think Perez might be too much but I still give Crolla a chance. I like his chances more than I did v Abril anyway (and it will be a better fight)

 

I really hope after everything he has been through he can do this but I personally don't think Crolla is world level and he will get stopped. European level at the best. He is a credit to boxing how he has come back but Perez should be to strong for him

 

I would say this is the crolla card and not the quigg card as crolla actually sells tickets, Quigg couldn't sell out a phone box

 

...although I don't really class Perez as world level, so this is as good a chance as he will ever get.

 

The bookies have installed Perez as 8/13 favourite for this with Crolla at 13/10..

Really not sure to be honest, I haven't seen any of this guy so I will have to do a bit of research. I really hope Crolla can do it but Perez looks to have a very good record.

 

A kind of unmotivated blown up Gamboa beating him in a dull one sided loss is his biggest claim to fame.

 

I noticed that and it made me think, still I really don't know though. Good fight though and as mentioned before will be more entertaining than the Abril fight but I hope there are no lasting mental effects from the attack.

 

Perez by one sided tko. The reality is, Crolla should not be anywhere near a world title, got ko'd by Matthews, got a gift draw in the second fight and beat a shot John Murray.

 

In reality though, nor should Perez

 

Gift draw? He clearly won the second fight. Mathews was extremely lucky.

 

IMO Crolla won the second Matthews fight. Differences in opinion make the third more exciting - hopefully beats Perez and sets that up
