Froch. I also believe that Groves will go on to have a good (not great but good) career which will enhance Froch's resume even further.

What the f*ck are you on about..you said the Kessler who fought Joe would beat Froch...and I simply said a Kessler who had lost to Ward ended up beating Froch. Your post implied Kessler had never beaten Froch when he actually did

    close but froch.

Kessler has wasted too much time and thus is lower than his potential.

Both superb resumes, very close, I have Froch edging it but there really isn't much in it.

    For me its Kessler

    Froch WBC champ (undefeated)
    Beyer WBC champ
    Siaca WBA champ
    Mundine between WBA reigns
    Sartison future WBA champ (undefeated)
    Magee WBA champ
Andrade who many felt beat Bute after (undefeated)
    Lucas world rated former champ
Haussler who had been a European champ

To me this outweighs Frochs resume of
    Bute IBF champ (undefeated)
    Magee future WBA champ
    Taylor wasnt a top SMW
Dirrell who hasnt done much at SMW (undefeated)
Groves who went on to become a European champ (undefeated)
Pascal who wasnt a top SMW (undefeated)
Kessler WBA champ, but faded in my opinion
    Abraham future WBO champ

Some wins for either I didnt note as they are arguably not top wins like Johnson, Perdermo etc

I picked Kessler as many of the top fighters he beat had pedigree at SMW

Kessler is the better fighter but Froch has the better resume.

Kessler was really a part-time boxer and never had the passion that Froch had. So of course Froch has the better resume.

But prime for prime on neutral territory, I'd pick Kessler to win a close decision.

Froch. They both have some big name wins, but ultimately Froch's next step down wasn't quite so far as Librado Andrade being one of his better wins.

a lot of it is down to circumstance, froch has been fortunate that Kessler was willing to rematch him - or rather, he wasn't unlucky to figth an elite who dodged rematches they might lose. two sides to the coin, froch has been willing too, so has built up a massive resume is such a short time.

Kessler by comparison has been unlucky enough to have one of his would be victims run away from a rematch with fully fit Kessler. Had calzaghe been willing to fight fully fit mikkel in Denmark, then Kessler might not have let his ealr ylead in their first fight slip away due to injury. And he spent a lot of time feeling bad about himself wasting his best years. Kesslers resume should really be better than it is.

How can anyone really say Froch has a better resume than Kessler, when both their resumes are based at SMW and who they fought at SMW.

Many on here dont know the SMW division and only know the more advertised names
